Story
Acuff knows the reason why many writers' novels go unfinished - it's the same reason why gyms are filled in the first week of January and empty by the end of the month and why people stop learning a new language once they get past the easy parts. It's not just that people lose momentum or get distracted. People give up on projects when they fail to live up to their own high expectations and decide that if they can't do something perfectly, they won't do it at all. If you're going to finish, you have to kill perfectionism.

Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

In this edition, Dweck offers new insights into her now famous and broadly embraced concept. Publisher's Summary
Overthinking isn't a personality trait. It's the sneakiest form of fear.
It steals time, creativity, and goals. It's the most expensive, least productive thing companies invest in without even knowing it. And it's an epidemic. When New York Times best-selling author Jon Acuff changed his life by transforming his overthinking, he wondered if other people might benefit from what he discovered. He commissioned a research study to ask 10,000 people if they struggle with overthinking too, and 99.5 percent said, "Yes!"
The good news is that in Soundtracks, Acuff offers a proven plan to change overthinking from a super problem into a superpower. When we don't control our thoughts, our thoughts control us. If our days are full of broken soundtracks, thoughts are our worst enemy, holding us back from the things we really want. But the solution to overthinking isn't to stop thinking. The solution is running our brains with better soundtracks. Once we learn how to choose our soundtracks, thoughts become our best friend, propelling us toward our goals.
If you want to tap into the surprising power of overthinking and give your dreams more time and creativity, learn how to DJ the soundtracks that define you. If you can worry, you can wonder. If you can doubt, you can dominate. If you can spin, you can soar.

Laughing out loud, and changing my life!
I heard about this book on the "Losing 100 Pounds" podcast. Shout out to Corinne Crabtree! I had to bring something to my daughter in college, so I had a 4 hour drive in the car by myself. I can not even count how many times I laughed out loud! I am not talking about a little "ha", I am talking about really laughing out loud. I think Jon Acuff is just wonderful, and I just know that this audiobook is going to improve my life! Consider me hooked on his books, and I will be reading, or more likely listening, to all of them! I am also going to take his accompanying online course to go along with the book. Thank you so much Jon!

Overthinking: Superpower > Superproblem
Once again Jon Acuff nails it. This concept is one we’ve heard many times. “Your thoughts determine your actions.” But he flips that into
Saying “the most important conversations you have in your life are with yourself.” And he goes so deep into this, that the entire book is a goldmine for actual & practical use in every day life. You’ll be thankful to read this one no matter where you’re at in life.

Acuff ought to secure a Grammy for this new beat; it’s sure to become a classic! Flippin’ coins and modulating your personal soundtracks from minor to major keys are concepts I plan to use personally, professionally, but most significantly in my mentoring relationships.
You can take this one to the bank and cash it in because it’s going to pay dividends (but be sure to ask for it in half dollars). Thanks for putting pen to paper and bringing my internal soundtracks to life so I can retire the old classics and spin a catchy new remix.

Loved it.
Not only was it an entertaining audio, Jon clearly tells us the story associated with the message and the solution to overthinking, plus more. I could picture myself sitting on the floor of his foyer for an outrageously long time while he justed dripped his experience and the solution into my brain.
It was deep in thought and meaning with many laugh out loud moments. I couldn't stop listening, which rarely happens. I see shiny things that distract me.. but with this book I was mesmerized in it.. The flow and the delivery is one of the best I've ever listened to.
Thanks Jon

Best book I have listened to on audible
This is an amazing book and I have read a great deal of self help books. Jon clearly defines the problems and solutions to overthinking. I did not have to go back and dissect my whole life and all the traumas suffered as a child although I did remember Ms Shepherd berating my grade 3 art project. Thanks Jon.!!!. I have nearly completed the book twice over the past 5 days and have downloaded the new anthem. I will be interested to see the results but I am confident of changing my “soundtracks”. I rarely write reviews but this is one that I fully endorse
