very enjoyable listen

very interesting take on the angel said demon story. really enjoyed the variety of the female voices

Loved it, didn’t want it to end. Lighthearted morbid humor.

Loved everything about this book. Very witty, great characters, it is light hearted morbid humor. Fun tilt on perspective. Maybe me smile, and giggle out loud a few times. Narrators are great.

Well...

Well... this turned out to be an expensive book because I will have to be purchasing everything Alex writes from here on out. This book is absolutely fantastic! The only other authors that have handled this type of subject matter similarly or have similar humor I can think of would be J L Langland and Nelson Chereta. This is top shelf. Its heartwarming and so humerous. Buy this now, do not hesitate.

I want more!

The story was fun and I enjoyed all the narrators.

There was a lot of cursing, so if that isn't your thing, you should pass. The story is told from a demon's POV for the most part, so swearing was pretty much a given. There was also a little bit of on-page sex, but nothing spicy or in too much detail. Maybe a PG-13 rating.

The characters are each unique, with purpose and a back-story that gives them all depth. I would LOVE to hear more from this world, as we are only given a glimpse.

Cozy and fun

I loved this book! The perfect amount of cozy and funny and fun. The pacing was perfect and the amount of seriousness and quirkiness was fantastic. Not the same as faery smut but there is cut-to-end sex. I’m so glad the cover caught my attention. This author will be an instant buy from me.

Story was done well

Loved the story with all the amusing little additions merging with serious undertones making this a fun read

So good it can't end like this

I really enjoyed the story, and while the ending left us on a positive note, that can't possibly be the end right? It feels like their is too much wiggle room to just leave the story here? Again though, it was a good book to enjoy.

Zany and dark at times...Yet utterly Heartwarming

I was charmed into this story by the cover art and was delightfully surprised by the content within. This book walks a fine line between absurdity, dark humor, and heartfelt moments -a weird trifecta that somehow just works. Spearheading those themes are characters that evolve in complexity, becoming even relatable as the story goes on. At the core of it all is a mystery wrapped around a conspiracy of biblical proportions. This book has grand ideas and balances them well with fun moments.

I should also note that the voice performance of this book was stellar, with the characters becoming even more vivid through the voice acting.

Though its ends on a great note, I couldn't help but wish we had more and would really hope the author continues with a sequel to this story. Even so, what I did get from this book was a memorable time that I will look fondly back at.

Funny and witty I couldn't stop laughing.

Few books actually make me laugh so much as this one did. There was somthing actually funny and clever in every chapter. Often Main Carector would make a deal that sounds perfectly reasonable, and then things would go as sideways as a wish from a genie for the other party.

Lots of character development

The main character had a huge turn from his former self to who he is at the end I found this endearing. The side characters also had large emotional changes, which is pretty rare for simple books like this one.

I know some didn’t care for the corny/cheesy humor but, it’s the same humor that most foreigners would have fun with. The type of humor is appropriate for the character and the genre.
