A fun read

This short adventure is well crafted and entertaining and will be considered time well spent to most listeners.

The Narrator did a good job with the material and helped make the story come alive.

Solomon Key

Pretty good story. I haven't listened to all the Dane and Bones books so I was surprised to find out that Dane and Angel are "on hiatus". I have to admit I'm a Dane and Angel fan so I was a bit peeved. Other than that, I enjoyed the story and liked Dane and Bones got into and out of trouble. Some of the banter between Dane and Bones can get a little tiresome but not it didn't detract from the story. I enjoyed Mr. Kafer's performance. I received this audio book for free through Audiobook Boom for my unbiased review.

Dane and Bones at it again.

Another great action story from David Wood. I don't know what the end game is, but I am looking forward to the ride.

Jeffrey Kafer is as always a great narrator.

Great job.

Maddock and bones are back again

What a great series. Every bit of Indiana Jones mixed with navy seals and plenty of action. Best part about this series is how it mixes history with fiction and encourages you to do sine research on your own to figure out which parts are true and which have been fictionalized . This story will introduce you to some lesser known pirates and put Dane and bones onto the trail of Solomon’s mine and will bring some great locations and historical authors right into the mix. Great story great narration. Truly amazing series. Can be read on its own but some backstory will be lost. Entertaining Easy to Listen to Story

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is for the audio copy of Solomon Key: A Dane Maddock Adventure (Dane Maddock Adventures, Volume 10), by David Wood and narrated by Jeffrey Kafer. This is the second Dane Maddock Adventures book I have listened to. I have to say they are quickly becoming some of my favorite books. You know have to listen to them in series, they have great plots with lots of action and many interesting characters. When I need a break from TEOTWAWKI stuff, I am finding this series the one to turn to. And Jeffrey Kafer is the only person who can narrate them now. His voices are now the only voices of the main characters that I will recognize and want to hear. He does a superlative job at telling these stories.

Quite a fun listen

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I will begin by saying I have not listened to any of the other books in this series, but they have been on my wishlist for a while. Like many of the series in this genre, I figured I would go for it, because the books build on each other, but can usually stand alone. This was definitely the case here. I mean, there were some references to past books (I'm assuming) that I didn't get, but nothing that kept me from enjoying the story. The narration is very well done and I was thoroughly entertained the entire time. I'm actually contemplating going back and starting from the beginning, but that will depend on my credits situation and nothing in my favorite series comes out this month. :)

Another great read/listen

I was given a free copy of this title for an honest review. First let me say that I will listen to almost anything that Jeffrey Kafer narrates. He adds a lot to any story he tells. I'm usually not that in to adventure books that have guys with unusual names like Dane or Dirk but I gotta say I enjoyed this one. I will be listening or reading other books in this series.

A great adventure story

Solomon Key: A Dane Maddock Adventure (Dane Maddock Adventures, Volume 10). The first Dane Maddock book I've read or listened to, and wow what a pleasant surprise, great storyline with awesome characters. Yes it would be better and easier to start at book 1 . Even with that in mind I found it to be great entertainment, a top class read/listen for anyone who likes this archeological adventure fiction.
Good narration clear and concise.

Unexpected adventures for Dane & Bones!

*I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Jeffrey returns to voice Dane Maddock and crew once again. He's a fixed voice in this world, and I love it! He gives characters the accents they are to have from David's writing descriptions. Jeffrey may not have a female voice when he narrates, but that doesn't stop him giving them their own voice and personality. He brings all the characters to life this way.

As you can see from my reading/listening of the series, you do not have to read it in order. I've missed a few books along the way. But I still love the characters and the story and adventure in each book. And I absolutely want the books I've missed, just to get as much of these characters as I can.

I love that David doesn't worry about word count or length of book, but focuses on the story and what's needed to tell it. Totally awesome! We get full movement and information to keep moving forward through out the book. There are traps, fights, and mystery as we go through the adventure with Dane Maddock and Bones.

David takes us on an unexpected adventure with Maddock and Bones as they search for Solomon's ring. These two always find trouble, or I should say trouble finds them. I love their banter and their friendship. They have been through a lot together and it gives them plenty to pick on each other about, and not worry about what they are saying. This is a wonderful friendship!

We come across known people that Dane Maddock crossed paths with in the past and are friends. We also meet new people with the places Maddock and Bones travel to.

Maddock isn't a true believer in spirits or ghosts. This book puts his thoughts on ghosts to the test. And maybe will start to sway Maddock to the believer side. Very interesting touch on the ghosts with Solomon's mines.

This book left me with a few questions that I hope will come up in future books. Like what does the Sisterhood want with Solomon's mines. There has to be something more there, and I am looking forward to finding out what it is!

Another amazing adventure with Dane and Bones. I love my time with their journeys and look forward to many more to come.

Fast paced adventure with Maddock & Bones...!

Solomon Key is a very enjoyable, fast paced adventure that has it all - pirates, lost artefacts, King Solomon's mines and plenty of humour. Anyone keen on the likes of Clive Cussler, Steve Berry etc will enjoy the way David Wood blends historical and mythological treasure hunts, with fast paced action and adventure.
It's the first time.ive come across the Maddock series, and I know I'll be adding many more to my library in the future.
Super narration by Jeffrey Kafer. His style is very much suited to this type of book, and I found myself immersed into his expressive narration very quickly.

I received this copy for free, in return for an honest review.

Another great Dane Maddock adventure!

Dane and Bones are cool. I'm a fan of the books and the characters. Firstly its worth saying that if you are coming to this book before any of the others you can slip right in. Everything gets explained and this book is a stand alone which I always like as a reader. Dane and Bones always take you on a wild ride. They are excellent counter points to each other in terms of the banter that we get between them.

I'm not going to give any spoilers but I will say that I love the way that we start with a chance meeting between people of similar interests leading to a hunt for pirate treasure leading to a hunt for ultimate treasure giving us so much more! Another really great action book that anyone who likes this genre will love.

Great narration adds to the book. You get a real feel for all the characters especially Bones and Dane. The narration also moves us through the action and story excellently.
