Somewhat hard to follow as an audiobook, but amazing performance

I had a hard time following some of the story as there is a lot of traveling being done, but overall, it was well written. The author did a good job connecting discovers and findings. The narrator did a top notch job with making each character feel different.

Really good listen if you like historical thriller

The story is well written, and imagining the locations is easy. Narration was pretty good. There were a few instances where I felt the tone didn't match the setting, but that was pretty minor overall. I was a little disappointed with how little time was spent on the final find. After all the lead up, it was a little dissatisfing that there was so little about the item itself. Overall, it's a really good listen!

Bit slow

"The Arthurian Relic" by Andrew Clawson offers a blend of mystique and suspense in the world of Arthurian and other legends. However, I had with mixed feelings throughout the journey, struggling to fully immerse in the narrative. The story, while not unenjoyable, failed to grasp my attention, leading to extended periods of disengagement. The narrative seemed to lack the gripping suspense needed to maintain my interest.

One notable aspect is the book's pacing and the execution of action scenes, which left me somewhat unsatisfied. The perceived deficiency in these elements might have contributed to the struggle in maintaining my engagement. Nevertheless, I acknowledge the book's potential, considering it is the first installment in a series. While "The Arthurian Relic" may not have hit the mark for me, I remain open to reading another book in the series, hoping for a more captivating storyline.

The Legend

I enjoyed this fast ride of discovery. However I felt it was too fast. It would have been nice to have more descriptions of places. The story moved on at a cracking pace and I love fact and fiction mixed together. My only other observation is that the Mafia boss seemed far too meek. A very good read

Better Than Indy!

Best mix of imagination and history. Clawson’s characters are interesting, smart, and clever; worth getting to know. The mix of story, legends, and facts is fun and fascinating. Really good narration adds to the story, can stop listening. Looking forward to more!

Well Worth the Time

I have been searching for a series exactly like this. This, the first book of the series, is very well written, narrated, and produced. I sincerely can’t think of a single negative point to make. Thank you Mr. Clawson. I’m grateful that you made this series included with the audible membership! I hope they paid you well.

A rip-roaring historical thriller

A rip-roaring read that hits all the quintessential marks of great historical thrillers: action, suspense, mystery, great protagonists and antagonists, and of course, history. Andrew Clawson has an uncanny ability to suck a reader in through character and then propel that character on a rollercoaster adventure. With a piece of history purportedly tied to King Arthur, a group that has been protecting a secret for 2000 years, and multiple parties after the same thing, Harry Fox is squarely in the middle. And the stakes are high. If you’re a fan of Indiana Jones or Dan Brown, do yourself a favor and read Andrew Clawson.

Thought provoking

I enjoyed the idea of who King Arthur could have been and the overall plot. The finale was a let down, I was intrigued by the find but wish there was more detail.
