Publisher's summary

Samantha Fisher never thought filming a music documentary of the up-and-coming rock band, Indigo King, would turn into a personal nightmare. But Matt Sturridge, the hot and mysterious drummer, seems to have made driving Samantha crazy his sole mission in life.

Mixed messages aren’t even half of it.

There’s something off about Matt, and since he refuses to talk about it, Samantha is determined to find out what it is, no matter what it costs her.

Book #2 in the Near Miss series. The series consists of stand-alone novels following the exploits of the members of the band Indigo King.

Great second book in the series

The story of Matt and Samantha is frustratingly good. I like the build up to the crazy events that happen. You do not need to read/listen to the first book in the series to follow this one. This can be a stand alone but I would highly recommend you read Almost as well for content (plus, it's a great read).
Matt and Samantha's first meeting is funny and their follow up encounters range from funny, infuriating, romantic and loving. The build up to them realizing they are in love doesn't seem slow to me at all. I found I was engaged with this story during every chapter.
Ms. Booker has a great way of being descriptive without being overly descriptive. You get the point right away and don't have to listen/read a bunch of adjectives to understand what you are reading. I like that!
The narrators are the same ones from the first book, and they are a wonderful choice and easy to listen to.
I am very much looking forward to the third book! I believe the release date is next week and it is on my must read list.
I think I am going to be sad once the series is finished because so far I am loving the stories of Indigo King, et al.
