Not as expected!

Landon Beach delivers another great listen and Scott Brick is amazing with his performance. He brings the characters to life. I could envision so many details. I really liked that I could not predict the storyline nor ending.

I listened to the incomparable Scott Brick narrate this 5 star novel by Landon Beach! A dangerous blizzard and a festive Christmas setting bring excitement and warmth to this holiday story. Landon Beach’s new novel, “Snow,” is a page turner just like his other novels and he masterfully brings us this compelling story about a family living with years of secrets.
Jean is a young and successful executive caught up in the powerful world of work and wealth and is on her way to vacation in Greece with Urian, a rich and handsome co-worker. She first stops in Michigan to sell her late grandmother’s home and is delayed by the storm. She stays with Annie, her grandmother’s lifelong best friend. Annie also introduces Jean to her grandson, Scott. During her stay, many secrets are unveiled all in the safe space of Annie’s small and cozy log home.
Beach expertly brings the reader to the end with some surprising and unexpected twists and turns. This story is an excellent read any time of the year. The human desire to find truth in spite of heartache leads to understanding, growth, and forgiveness. Make sure you put this book at the top of your list.

Emotion & Adventure & Choices

You got me right in the feels with this one Mr. Beach! Sincerely, this one was everything I didn't know I needed. The vulnerability I experienced reading Snow was completely unexpected yet the journey of the story was so compelling to me that I managed to place myself inside it and go along for the ride. I could easily skip over this, but it really cannot be understated how the author went to great lengths to address the effects of a broken family and how much happens behind the scenes in our hearts, including the choices we make in future relationships in order to remain detached and safe emotionally. This book was more than entertainment for me personally, it was an experience and healing. The adventure of the winter storm and the cozy setting was a perfect and much needed transition from the "summer-fall" here where I live, right into thinking about celebrating the down time with family and slowing down to enjoy the holidays - and with a fresh perspective on seeing the people around me with new compassion in my heart. Every character was developed well and held relevance in relation to the main character. The transitions from comfort to danger & the contrast of shallow connection to meaningful love, extreme wealth to modest living - all bringing this story to a beautiful conclusion. I truly appreciated the time I spent reading this book. It was 100% the total package. A wonderful book to read over the holidays!

A Trip in Time

I have lived "up north" most of my adult life and could readily picture the imagery by Mr. Beach. The whole story captured my life from my 20s to my 70s. It was easy to identify with each character, their strengths and their flaws. The ending was most clever! Thank you.

I have one big ask: I want a PDF of all the winter preparedness items listed in chapter 9 that one should have in the car! I used to teach winter preparedness and that list was more detailed than I have ever read! Kind regards and keep writing. I've read all the Sunrise-Side and Great Lakes mysteries to-date. Each is excellent.
