Laugh out loud, 2nd chance (kinda) hockey romance

Teagan Hunter’s Carolina Comets series is such a great read if you’re looking for a sports romance that is easy to read and hilarious. Sin Bin is the 4th book in the series and I was so excited to get an audio copy from Teagan and Valentine PR! I binged this series at the end of last year so getting to relisten to it on audio was amazing- it’s such a comfort read.

Sin Bin follows Emilia, social media guru for the Carolina Comets and Owen, a Comets player. When Emilia is assigned to do a player profile on Owen, things get a little tricky since they actually met 2 years prior and had a one-weekend-stand before they realized they worked for the same organization. Their chemistry hasn’t gone away over the last two years though, and keeping themselves in check is just a little harder than they hoped it would be.

This book made me laugh and the narrators did a phenomenal job with Emilia and Owen. If oyu want a laugh-out-loud sports romance, this series is the one for you (both as a book and in audio)!

Great book in the series!

I have been waiting for Smith and Emilia's story! We have gotten bread crumbs dropped throughout the other books and I couldn't wait to see what happened between these two!

Once again this story brings the witty banter along with the heartfelt moments. Smith and Emilia have a forbidden relationship and of course when you have that, what can go wrong? When it comes down to it though, these two show up for each other and I couldn't love them more. I love that Smith is an older hero since my husband and I are 10 years apart I can totally relate. Great story in this series!

I love this series so much!!

I absolutely love every one of these Carolina Comets!! Smith and Emilia are so great together. The chemistry between the two was fire from the start. I’ve been waiting for this story through the last 2 books in the series and it did not disappoint. I love the risk factor involved in their forbidden relationship and the sacrifices made were beautiful!! Tim Paige and Callie Dalton were so perfect in bringing these two to life!! Now I can’t wait for Miller!!!

More hockey fun

Smith and Emilia deliver more laughs and love in Sin Bin. The series keeps us entertained. It does not get old. The narrators made Smith and Emilia come alive. The up and down emotions were done well and made the story believable. Our characters have fun but real life interferes and they have to make a choice that could end their careers or leave them broken hearted.


Age gap/ he is 38 and she is 28. Lots of laughs and jokes.
Forbidden romance: Owen(Smith) and Emilia met 3 years ago and had a weekend stand. Then they realize their true identities. He is a NHL star and she works for the team. It’s against the rules to date the players.
Close proximity: to get a promotion, Emilia has to do one last assignment. She had to film and report on Smith for team fans. They can’t keep their hands off each other.
This story had plenty of fun. The banter and text messages were fun and sometimes dirty and steamy.
The chemistry between our characters was off the charts. Of course we get to revisit the other characters. They are a family and as with most family, they stay in your business.

Age Gap Hockey Romance

I have an extra soft spot for the Carolina Comet's.

Smith is the Granny of the group at 38 and trying to figure out what happens if hockey isn't in his life anymore.

Emilia is on the cusp of getting a promotion at the Carolina Comet's but there is just one thing standing in her way....and that involves Owen Smith. The man she had a weekend of passion with two years ago and who she has tried to avoid ever since.

Callie and Tim did such a fantastic job. It is recorded with Dual POV and gave both of them the opportunity to explore different characters voices and personalities. Callie has this amazing talent when it comes to male voices...I can't comprehend how she does it. Tim makes it seem effortlessly to switch between different voices, which I know is not easy for the average person....believe me I've tried.

The were able to enhance Emilia and Smith's story.

Age Gap Hockey Romantic Comedy

Sin Bin by Teagan Hunter is a hockey romantic comedy that I listened to on audio narrated by Tim Paige and Callie Dalton. This is the third book in the Carolina Comets series.

I love Teagan’s books! I loved the relationship that bloomed between Owen & Emilia. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can’t wait to jump into the next book in the series Scoring Chance so I can get Miller and Scout's story.

Tim and Callie did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like sports romances, romantic comedies, age gap romance or contemporary romances.

So good!

This forbidden, age-gap, hockey romance was exactly what I was looking for. I haven’t read any of Teagan Hunter’s other sports romances so this can definitely be read as a stand-alone but I will absolutely be going back and reading the rest of the series because I loved this one so much. 
The mutual pining between these too was so perfect. They had one magical weekend together before realizing they’re forbidden from having a real relationship after finding out they work together. Two years later when they are forced to do a project together it’s blatantly obvious their connection hasn’t faded and it’s only a matter of time before they can’t take the forced proximity and it turns into more. 
I loved both these characters but especially Smith, the hero. This was a wonderful low-angst romance and I can’t wait to read more from this author. I listened to the audiobook and it was perfectly done! The narrators were exactly right for their parts and it just made the story even better.

Really enjoyable

I enjoyed the characters and had plenty of spice. Would like to have heard more about their happily ever after.

Another Hunter Hit

I enjoyed the other books in this series and this one is much like the others. I gave the “story” portion 4 stars because there wasn’t a ton of depth… I don’t feel like I learned a lot about each characters backstory or such. Overall, still 5 stars because it was exactly what I expected from this series. A steamy and entertaining listen. I wonder when we will learn more about Miller.
