A Mind-Blowing Story Superbly Done! Amazing🎧📚🎧

Wow, just wow, this book should come with a warning label stating: “Prepare to be wowed and to have your Mind-Blown”, because it does just that on so many levels. I am not sure how this is my first book written by Amo Jones, I can only say I will definitely check out more of her books. She is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style and a brilliant mind, a brilliantly twisted mind and I mean that in the most complementing of ways. She created and weaved a complex story, her characters are equally complex. Her descriptive details bring you into story alongside the characters and into their minds, enabling you to see, think and feel everything they are. Once you start the book, it is hard to stop because you need to know what happens next. The affluent Kane family took jade, a foster child in and she bonded quickly with their son Royce, who became her protector. The crowd they ran with was all from money and had expensive toys, including yachts and high end cars. None of them bothered or went near Jade because of Royce scared them off and he vowed to always protect her. But he ups and leaves with no notice, leaving her not only heartbroken but vulnerable too. It forever changed both their lives after he left. Royce does not return home for a few years and when he does, he is not the same person as when he left, regardless Jade wants nothing to do with her. She is not happy about it but he makes his way back into her life and what a twisted life it has become. There are many layers to this brilliantly plotted story, a story that is dark, twisted and intense, a story that may take you out of your comfort zone but stick with it because the payoff in the end is not only worth it but it will blow your mind. It is a romantic suspense novel that will bring you to the edge of your seat, give you goosebumps and have you wondering WTF, the heat factor is high, as is the angst, the story definitely takes you on an emotional rollercoaster ride. Amo Jones that you for this mind-blowing story.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Amo Jones chose the perfect cast to bring her story and characters to life. Matt Haynes and Sarah Puckett are superbly talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit the character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable in every role they played and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Sarah Puckett killed it as Jade, captured her innocence and then transformed as her character did. Matt Haynes was pretty badass but was not afraid to show his softer side when it came to Jade. Both were great at performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to, their narration enhances an already exceptional story to another level. Thank you for this amazing listen.

Twisty Awesomeness!

Sicko by Amo Jones is a genius New Adult Dark Romance full of steam & suspense. I adore this book, I read Sicko back 2021 and have been eagerly awaiting its audio release, the audiobook for Sicko was a brilliant example of how great narrators can only improve a fantastic story. Jade is one of my favorite characters that Sarah Puckett has narrated. Matt Haynes is one of my favorite new male narrators from the last year, his voice is perfect for dark roles.

This story was everything I didn't know I needed. My mouth is on the floor with this whole story line. I love the characters and the narration. Triggers of rape and sex trafficking. There was 1 bombshell after another until the end.

The reviews tell the truth, this book was great, the story is so much more than what it seems. The author did a great job at burying the lead, I definitely recommend this book.
