Publisher's summary

The irresistible Stone Barrington returns for another racy adventure from number-one New York Times best-selling author Stuart Woods.

Stone Barrington has faced intrigue before and come out clean on the other side, but this latest turn of events might be too scandalous even for him.

More like his old ones

Best Barrington book he has written in a while.
More like the old ones - fun, exciting, and seemingly plausible. I enjoyed very much :)

Classic Stone Barrington

The old formula for classic Stone Barrington is back. Good balance of characters and good plot development. Thankfully downplayed the sex scenes. We all have imagination. Prefer it that way. As always, enjoy hanging out with jet-setting Stone and as it should be, “the good guys always win!”

Stone does it again

The characters are great. Stone , Dino, Fred, Joan, Viv, Holly Lance, they are all present. Each new book is like visiting good friends. thank you Mr. Woods.

Glaring error

While this was a typical Stone Barrington story, there was an obvious glaring error in the early stages, and it kept coming up through out the book. I won't say what it was, but it rankled the entire book for me. Oh hell, why not. Why did no one ever ask how did the bad buys know where the lady was time and time again ???????

Stone Barrington stories are always a fun experien

even if at times the story line is a bit light, when read by Tony Roberts it becomes such a delight

True to what we love

Story and characters stayed true to what I love of the Stone series. I appreciate that the characters advance and grow but the foundation of what I fell in love with in this series stays true. Stone, Dino, Viv and even a touch of Holly along with the now familiar others never disappoint.

typical stone barrington

What did you love best about Shoot First?

it was a typical barington book with the same writing style which is light hearted and fun

What was one of the most memorable moments of Shoot First?

the memorable moments are usually when Stone meets the new woman in the book for the first time and then how the plot unfolds from there

Have you listened to any of Tony Roberts’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Tony Roberts is the same in all his books

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

fun but to short

Any additional comments?

Stuart woods is a fun writer but he is making his books to short so he can get two or three books out of what should be one book. Seems typical of what some big name authors are doing but I believe they are losing readers who no longer buy all there books

Correct pronunciation of location

My only negative comment would be if you're going to write about a location learn to pronounce it correctly. Islamorada in the Keys is pronounced like "aisle a Morada".

Different Story

Same formula as always, but enjoyable as usual. I don't expect much more then that.
