Another best seller for Stuart Woods. It is easy to get into especially if you are familiar with Stone Barrington.

a new stone Barrington story with mobsters

stone gets in trouble with the mob because of a woman he can't refuse. he is on a hit list but manages to stay alive and turn the tables on his adversary. a good story.

Not a fan of this one.

Just not as interesting as most of his books I’ve listen to. I’ll keep trying more.

Great story

As usual a really great story. Held me to the end. A little different twist to what Stone Barrington usually does.

Last Few Chapters Rewarding

Overall, there was too much repetition with restaurant and bar scenes interspersed about every other chapter to keep the plot f!owing. This became tedious and unimaginative to me. I'm a fan of books with more action and ongoing plot twists. Stone Barrington has become little more than an exceedingly rich womanizer. That foundation has definitely lost its appeal. Woods does write beautifully and I have loved a number of his books. i do wish the author would create a new main character than wasn't based on 1960 ideals!
