Publisher's Summary

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Carrie Ann Ryan completes a sexy contemporary series with an unrequited crush on the bad boy next door.

Caleb Carr might have once been ready for commitment, but when the unexpected slams into him with the force of a two-ton truck, he knows he has to run away from anything that might be important. Zoey might well be his final temptation, but to keep her whole, he’ll walk away.

Zoey Wager has loved Caleb since they were eight. And has had her heart broken from afar repeatedly ever since. It doesn’t help that every time she sees him - even when she’s running away halfway across the world - he’s with another woman. She's watched him fall in lust her entire life. Now, she's ready to watch him fall in love. With her.

Chance encounters of the sequined kind, best friends who aren’t really just your friend, and childhood meet cutes that are anything but cute force the Carr siblings to face what life has brought them. Again.

Love at last

Caleb and Zoey have known each other for years. Zoey has been in love with Caleb since she was 8 and he first saved her. As the years go on he is always there for her as a friend but he always has a girl with him. Zoey almost feels like they will never get their chance until they are teamed up to plan her little sisters wedding. I love how these two manage to overcome so many things to be together and be happy.

Series finale

This is the final book in this series and the best friends to lovers is a long time in coming. This all started when Zoey was 8 years old. Zoey and Caleb meet up throughout the years in different states by chance.

When they are paired up for Lacey's wedding, they are forced to work together and spend a lot of time together. Zoey has always been in love with Caleb so working with him is hard for her. But she will do anything for her sister.

Caleb is confused by his feelings for Zoey. Plus his other issue, the reason he came home. So will he and Zoey make a lasting couple, or will it end with heartbreak? Maybe both?

I love the fascination with cheese these characters have. Every time they get together, cheese is on the menu. I've learned about several new cheeses to try.

Samantha Cook was the perfect Zoey. She is chipper, happy go lucky, yet lovesick. Jacob Morgan is a classic voice and brings Caleb and his fears to life. This was such a great pairing for this book.

Shameless!!

Caleb Carr, dayum! Zoey has been friends with Caleb since they were kids and love him from afar. Now as adults, their lives intertwined with Zoey being friends with Caleb’s sister. They are thrown together to help plan a wedding. The cuteness of knowing each other since they were so young and now getting to know each other is overloading. He is the perfect gentleman, sweet and so sexy. I liked that girls were never disappointed with him. That’s why I almost virtually kick him when he hurt Zoey. I loved every aspect of this book and specially the happily ever after they got. Another great listen 🎧 with the help of awesome narrators.

Zoey and Caleb

This is Zoey and Caleb's story and I hate to say it but I liked this one the least of all the books in this series. That's not to say I didn't like the book because I did, but at times I had difficulties liking Caleb, that said this was still a book I could not stop listening to. I loved Carrie Ann's writing style and I enjoyed that almost all the characters in the book felt like old friends.

Caleb is the last of the Carrs to find his life partner although Zoey has been part of his life since they were children, he never really saw her. She's loved Caleb since she was eight years old, although it seemed like fate kept throwing them together over the years he was always with a different girlfriend.

When Zoey's sister asked her to be Maid of Honor at her wedding she was thrown into close contact, yet again, with Caleb as he was the Best Man. He's come home, left the job he loved and was now working in an office because he's sick. He's having migraine-like headaches and has even had a hallucination! But he hasn't told his family, he's had so many tests but still has no idea what is wrong with him - is it a tumour in his brain? Is he going to die?

Zoey's sister was a bridezilla, she's demanding and unreasonable but Zoey just took everything and quietly went about all the arrangments she had to do as well as running her own business. The proximity to Caleb seemed to be the one good thing to come out of it, he's seen her at last and they've started a relationship. They've become close but have never talked about the future, Caleb's scared he doesn't have one and she didn't want to pressure him.

The wedding day arrived and Caleb has allowed his fear full rein, he wanted to give Zoey an out, a reason to leave him, but instead of telling her his fears, he invited another woman to the wedding! As I said at the start of this review I had a hard time liking Caleb, his secretiveness and his actions on the wedding day is the reason.

The narration of this book by Samantha Cook and Jacob Morgan is excellent, it could not be improved upon.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

Terrible Female Narration, Trite Story

Jacob Morgan is always top notch, but Samantha Cook’s narration ruins the story. Samantha attempts to emote, but it comes off too artificial and oftentimes immature like a much older woman trying to sound like she’s in her 20’s. The storyline was boring and not well written. Didn’t need all the silly flipping off nor did we need all the silly epilogues.

Great story

The third and final book in this trilogy is just as good as the first two. You have met Zoey and Caleb in the first two books and got a glimpse and them and wondered what has been going on. In this one you get to find out. Zoey has known and had a crush on Caleb since they were children. Her whole life she has always seen him with other women. She finally wants her chance at a happy ever after and she wants it with him. Caleb has returned home to his family but hasn’t told them why. There is a lot going on with him and he doesn’t know what he is going to do. When Zoey lands back in his life he doesn’t think he should start something with her but he also can’t seem to stop himself. I loved watching their story unfold. Great characters and story.

Loved the narrators as well great job with these characters

Not my favorite..

Alright I’ll start off with this was not my favorite book. Don’t get me wrong the author wrote an amazing book as always. However, I couldn’t connect with Zoey the heroine of the story. For some reason the whole she’s had a crush on him for a lifetime and this “plan” she has in her head just hit me wrong and I honestly don’t know why. I understand that Caleb has had a surplus of woman in his life and that didn’t bother me. I loved the first two books of this series and expected to this one unfortunately it wasn’t one I could love and I tried very hard to. Unfortunately this one was a miss for me. I still look forward to reading more from the author and I know not every book can be a hit for each reader.

The narrators did a wonderful job bringing the story to life and painting a vivid picture of what was happening throughout the story.

Caleb ❤️ Zoey ❤️

This is the last in the series, the last of the Carr siblings, and it’s Caleb Carr. The youngest, the one who had been gone, but now he’s back. And Zoey, florist, friends with all the ladies, and who’s had a lifelong crush on Caleb, is quite happy about that. When they are both named as maid of honor and best man in her sister’s (ok, maybe a little bridezilla 😂) wedding, they end up spending a lot of time together. A lot of fun time together 😉. Though keeping it casual, feelings are there. Will they get their happy ending too? You have to grab it to find out. If you love yummy men and fun independent women, you’ll love it!! Not to mention yummy Jacob Morgan as Caleb (you so can’t go wrong listening to him 😍) and Samantha Cook as Zoey. Just makes it all that much better 😊

So much fun

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The Narration was excellent. The story was very good, I enjoyed that the characters ended up where they were meant to be all along. I obviously need to read or listen to more books by Carrie Ann Ryan
