"Did you have relations with my brother?"
Good question.
I’d like to preface this by saying it was never my intention to ever get involved in a workplace romance, let alone get involved with the most surly, agitating, and pompous man I’ve ever met who just so happens to be my new friend’s brother.
My intentions were to show students how English and reading books could actually be fun and make a new life for myself in the suburbs of Chicago.
But so far, I’ve managed to be called into the principal’s office; I've been coerced into participating in the teacher's badminton league; and I've instigated passionate fights with Arlo Turner over education and decorum while losing my underwear at the same time.
Known as Mr. Turns Me On, he’s the reason I might get fired from my first ever teaching job.

You will hate the male lead, Arlo, from the get go. When I say enemies to lovers, I don't mean in the traditional "he's really annoying," too much of a player or the leads clash through sarcasm. Arlo and Greer are literally pitted against each other from the moment she starts her new job. They flight over teaching methods, they fight over book choices, they fight over just about everything from moment one. And for a large part of the book, you think there is no way Arlo can possibly redeem himself, but, oh, boy, does he ever.
This was a really great story, and Zachary Webber and Erin Mallon narrated so well! For Zachary to make us hate Arlo and then turn around and love him, well, his performance was great. Arlo's grand gesture at the end is nothing short of a Jane Austen miracle. And through it all, Zachary was able to portray the disdain, the miscomprehension, the grudging respect, the transformation to respect and love - all of the emotions that Arlo went through. Erin Mallon, as Greer, was fantastic and spot-on in her comedic delivery, as well as her heartache.
Great listen. Highly recommend.
Talk about enemies to lovers - wow!

This book is hilarious and just so much more than I expected in general. The chemistry between Arlo and Greer is outstanding and the rest of the supporting characters just drive home everything that makes this read so much fun.
Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber give performances that are incredible (as always), making this one of the best books I've listened to in 2020!
So Funny!

It was hilarious but, it was seriously hot too. But above all the story - for me - was truly great. Had all the highs and lows in all the right places. And it’s references to one of my favorite classics was an absolute win for me. It was swoon worthy and real all at the same time. I will definitely be searching for more by this new to me author because let’s face it- rom com hotness with the swooning sweetness in one package isn’t easy to do while being realistic and not ridiculous. Well done MQ. And even better well done to the amazing narrators that gave genuine life to these characters ZW and EM are two of my faves for this reason- I mean who doesn’t love hearing true laughter in a tone in hearing a story. Yes I heard y’all trying not to laugh through the lines and passages and for me that makes the storytelling even more realistic. So thank you!
Naughty teacher for the win!

I loved Greer and Arlo. It’s grumpy sunshine so I REALLY loved them! Arlo and Cora’s struggles with emotional intimacy hit me hard. It’s such a raw representation of the damage that comes from growing up with and emotionally unavailable family. I was so impressed.
If you’re an audiobook lover, you know how exciting it is to see that Zachary Webber is narrating a book. It didn’t disappoint one bit.
I can’t wait to start the next book!
Absolutely hilarious

Make sure one listens to the Novella at the end, “Date Night”. Multiple LOL through out. Touches on what the “long haul” in marriage is like with aging impact.
Funny with touching on serious issues. Loved Date Night Novella

Dual POV, coworkers, enemies to lovers, RomCom, HEA
Greer just got hired for her first teaching job at the same school Arlo works at. In fact, he’s the head of her department and not a fan of her teaching style. The two butt heads like crazy and Greer recruits Arlo’s friends into helping her prank him because he’s being such a dick to her. Slowly they start to connect on a physical level but there’s still so much tension between them.
Yet again, Meghan Quinn writes a RomCom filled with tons of laughs and witty banter. The back and forth between Greer and Arlo keeps you invested in seeing how things develop with them. I’m such a sucker for a good workplace romance book too. This didn’t disappoint.
Loved this!
