Great Listen

This is another great story by Carrie Ann Ryan. This story is everything you ever wanted in a book. Once you start, I promise you will not be able to stop listening. You will not be disappointed.

Great story

Greatest story loved the friendship the family support is great. Love a strong woman. Kudos to the author.

Great way to start the series

Great way to start this series - While not Montgomery's they are in-laws and family is very important to this clan as well.

Devin meets up with Erin who he knew years ago, on the night she discovered her husband was cheating on her. Time passes and she's now divorced and runs into Devin and well, friends with benefits ensues.

I loved this book because the way Jacob Morgan delivers all his lines. His inner monologue was quite funny but its in his delivery. Whether it was some comedy or sadness or dramatic his delivery was wonderful.

I love this story of finding your true love, the love you didn't even know you needed, the love you didn't know was missing.

Fantastic first book in new series

Book one of the Less Than series Breathless With Her by Carrie Anne Ryan
Erin is a wedding cake maker and slowly growing into a more independent women with opening her own business.
Erin and Nicholas Erin’s husband go to there high school reunion and while there Erin life falls apart. That when she meets Devin Carr at a bar.
Devin is Dimitri Carr brother from previous Montgomery book and Devin is a sexy tattooed postal worker who has everything in life a job he loved a house and a close busy family but no love of his life.
I really enjoyed this book especially with main female character having a lot of baggage and Devin having Baggage but dealed with it in a healthy way and at some point helps Erin how to too.
This book was made into a audiobook and had different narrators then the one used in previous books, this is first time I’ve heard Samantha Cook and Jacob Morgan narrate but as usual Carrie Ann Ryan really picks awesome with narrators.
Looking forward to more in series especially the rest of the Carr family but also Devin bff.

Another awesome spinoff...

Devin Carr is a great character, he is loving and protective of his family and that carries on to his relationships. He meets Erin who doesn’t want a forever. Just a rebound guy. I like that it was him who pined for her. And although she was in denial the chemistry is super hot, but their feelings... all the feelings... were trying to get squashed... great narration too from both Cook and Morgan.

Heartfelt Story

This audiobook was narrated so well and on point. Both the narrators were outstanding. This was a first book by this author for me and I thoroughly enjoyed her style of writing. It will definitely not be my last. The storyline was a really good one and nothing like I’ve read or heard before. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it. I loved the characters and the little lol moments in the book. There were some sad parts but not enough to break up tissues which I appreciated since I wanted a light hearted listen. This book had all the touchy feely moments too. Many thanks to the author for a good story with the HEA we all seek and truly want.

Jacob Morgan (Zachary Webber) turns in his usual excellent performance with finely drawn, believable emotions and artful vocalization.
Samantha Cook, while popular, is totally miscast in this audiobook. She was a mismatch for both the character and for playing against the much more accomplished Morgan.
The author gets a C. It's an average story, not one that soars.
Look, it's not awful, and if you just want to fill some time -- say while cleaning the house -- it's okay. But if you want to settle in for a long listen and haven't yet heard everything that pairs Morgan with Andi Arndt, you might be happier with one of those instead.

Friends with benefits

Erin and Devin begin as friends with benefits. Devin feels like he wants more but doesn't want to push Erin who has just come out of a bad marriage. Will Erin be able to overcome her fear of being abandoned to embrace her feelings for Devin before it's too late? I'm looking forward to the next book in this series. I enjoyed the narration by Samantha Cook and Jacob Morgan.

Great start to a new series!!

This first book in this new series spin off was a great book to listen to. Devin and Erin's story was well written and one that a reader could relate to. The pair had been jaded by events of their past - Devin with his upbringing and protective/fixer instincts with his family and Erin by her ex-husband and events of her upbringing. Both not sure about relationships have a chance meeting when Erin is at a low in her life and then have another chance meeting a short time later that turns into a relationship that neither character realized was happening until they both had feeling that they were unsure of how to handle. Both characters had amazing chemistry together and despite their relationship views at first were a great couple together. I enjoyed the return of some of the characters from other series that cross over into this one as well as the introduction of new characters. I look forward to seeing where this series will go next and I would recommend this book to others.
In the audio version of this book, the narration by Jacob Morgan and Samantha Cook was performed well by both narrators making it an enjoyable listening experience. The pair did a great job bringing all of the characters to life in this story. I was invested in the story the entire time.

The title

I finished it, but too much drama for my taste! When it comes to the narrator’s, male was right on, female voice bugged me 😣
