This is another great story by Carrie Ann Ryan. This story is everything you ever wanted in a book. Once you start, I promise you will not be able to stop listening. You will not be disappointed.

Devin Is Awesome!!

I absolutely loved this one! If you have ever been cheated on, then you know how devastating it can be. It eats away at you and makes you wonder what is wrong with yourself or what you did wrong-even knowing it isn't anything to do with you or anything that you did. And this author wrote this in a way that not only conveys how badly it affects you but the confidence issues that are left in the wake along with the hurt and pain. Erin is this beautiful woman who trusted someone she had known since childhood and was hurt in the most emotional way possible. But she still manages to get up and do what needs doing and is just trying to move on with her life. Devin is this great man who not only stands behind his family when they need it but he will stand with his friends and just be a generally stand up person. And they have this beautiful, heart felt connection that I absolutely loved! Yes, there is a lot of chemistry between them. But what I loved even more than that was the fact that they figured out that not only could they be there as friends for each other but that they could be more and truly trust each other. I loved it!!

The narration is excellent! The emotions come across wonderfully and I loved Jacob Morgan's tone of voice! Samantha Cooke and Jacob Morgan did a great job of not only bringing this story to life but conveying how emotional the things that Erin went through made them.

Jacob saves it

He is amazing as always. I did not care for Samantha at all. No differentiation in characters. The book is quite repetitive at points and the inner monologue goes on and on. Strangely- not strangely- when Jacobs character is rambling, it doesn’t drag as much. Great narration makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE!!!

Heartfelt Story

This audiobook was narrated so well and on point. Both the narrators were outstanding. This was a first book by this author for me and I thoroughly enjoyed her style of writing. It will definitely not be my last. The storyline was a really good one and nothing like I’ve read or heard before. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it. I loved the characters and the little lol moments in the book. There were some sad parts but not enough to break up tissues which I appreciated since I wanted a light hearted listen. This book had all the touchy feely moments too. Many thanks to the author for a good story with the HEA we all seek and truly want.

Friends with benefits

Erin and Devin begin as friends with benefits. Devin feels like he wants more but doesn't want to push Erin who has just come out of a bad marriage. Will Erin be able to overcome her fear of being abandoned to embrace her feelings for Devin before it's too late? I'm looking forward to the next book in this series. I enjoyed the narration by Samantha Cook and Jacob Morgan.

Great start to a new series!!

This first book in this new series spin off was a great book to listen to. Devin and Erin's story was well written and one that a reader could relate to. The pair had been jaded by events of their past - Devin with his upbringing and protective/fixer instincts with his family and Erin by her ex-husband and events of her upbringing. Both not sure about relationships have a chance meeting when Erin is at a low in her life and then have another chance meeting a short time later that turns into a relationship that neither character realized was happening until they both had feeling that they were unsure of how to handle. Both characters had amazing chemistry together and despite their relationship views at first were a great couple together. I enjoyed the return of some of the characters from other series that cross over into this one as well as the introduction of new characters. I look forward to seeing where this series will go next and I would recommend this book to others.
In the audio version of this book, the narration by Jacob Morgan and Samantha Cook was performed well by both narrators making it an enjoyable listening experience. The pair did a great job bringing all of the characters to life in this story. I was invested in the story the entire time.

The title

I finished it, but too much drama for my taste! When it comes to the narrator’s, male was right on, female voice bugged me 😣

Erin and Devon's Story is So Good

I loved this book! Devin and Erin started as friends, then friends with benefits but what they had soon grew into so much more. Devon had dated her sister many years ago when they were both in high school, it was never serious and they had both moved on but remained friends. Erin had married Nick her sweetheart from the age of 10 and thought they would be together for the rest of their lives. But whilst attending their Ten Year High School Reunion she discovered Nick with another woman. She's devastated and goes to a bar to drown her sorrows and it's there she meets Devon. He's a good friend to her, he makes sure she's ok, he takes her back to his house and lets her sleep it off on his couch, he's the perfect gentleman.

Erin's father left them when she was very young and now her ex has in effect left her too and because of that, she's afraid to be hurt again. So when she and Devon decide that they like each other and want to see more of each other she agrees on the condition that it doesn't become serious, she is not looking to be hurt again!

As for Devin, everything is going well for him his life is on track both his life and his job make him happy and everything is how he wants it to be that is until he runs into Erin, who is in a bad place her heart has been broken by finding her husband cheating. They come to an understanding but then things get more serious than either of them planned.

The book also gives us glimpses of family members and friends and mentions characters readers of Carrie Anne's Montgomery series will already know. The love of family is strong in this book, as it is in other books by Carrie Anne. But as love started to grow between Devon and Erin, she became afraid that Devon would leave like the other men in her life had, so she decides to end it before he can hurt her.

There is so much more I could say but, no more spoilers from me. What I will say is that the characters are totally believable and very likable too. I loved the family dynamics and the love shared by all. I was engrossed in this well written and moving book from the first word until the last.

The narration of the book by Samantha Cook and Jacob Morgan was excellent, it could not be improved upon and certainly added to my enjoyment of this very moving and engrossing story.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

Leaves you Breathless

Every once in awhile a book comes along that is beyond perfection and let me tell you, this is that book. One click, one click,  one click, that is what you really need to do. Breathless with her by Carrie Ann Ryan is astoundingly perfect. Once you start this book you definitely will not be able to put it down. A beautiful addition to a beautiful series.
