Publisher's Summary

Threadbare has not had a very good time of it recently. His little girl has been taken from him, and he must travel the kingdom, finding allies old and new, living and dead, to help him rescue Celia.

Fortunately, he's got a voice now and access to all those fun skills he couldn't before use. He may only be a very small teddy bear, but he's got the persistence to plow through dungeons of rascally raccoon monsters, the wiles to turn a town full of undead on its ear, and the sanity to survive an encounter with a mediocre old one.

However, Threadbare's little girl is growing up now, and her own path is hard and brutal. Will she even have a use for her old teddy bear when they meet again? Will they both survive the encounter?

Warning: Contains profanity, violence, and a creepy villain who likes tentacles way too much.

Another fantastic entry to the series!

This book series really has come into it's own with this book. The world opens up to the teddy bear known as Threadbare as he made himself a mouth in order to speak and use his jobs. The writing was very fluid, never felt halting or odd, and every once in a while there are references thrown in that have gotten a groan of laughter more than once. I cannot wait for the continuation of this series!

got a lot darker in this one and maybe weirder

the move from a some what whimsical fantasy to a darker adventure fantasy is in full effect. still fun but there's a definite tonal shift.

Great Second Book

Continues on just where the first book left off and remains amazing the whole way through. All of the characters were able to hold my attention and leave me wanting more of their exciting adventures and group dynamic. Loved all the creative thought and fun that was put into the skills of the characters and the different settings. Can’t wait for the next book.

Hail The Great Threadbare

For real though the hilarity on top of the rather intense story makes this book amazing. The way it's written puts a smile on my face and the narrator is superb. The way he reads the stats is perfect.

Awesome sauce!

Such a fan of this series! What a ride so far, I think I know what is going on deep in the story, but the lingering questions are intriguing. I kinda feel like this book is going to become one of my favorite series.

Can't Get Enough of This Series!

So I got this book around an hour into the first book. Tim Gerard Reynolds is a great narrator and brings this book to life. The story itself picks up right about where the first one ends and follows Threadbare as he tries to find Celia and his other friends. As the story unfolds he gets stronger, learns some things and helps people along the way. One change with this book is the change in perspective from Threadbare, to Celia, and even the King once or twice. The scope of the world is widened and you learn a bit more of what's going on within the Kingdoms. If you've read the first book I highly recommend picking this one up as well. The book is just as good, if not better than the first one and I'm already checking Audible every day waiting for book 3 to get released

Well

The First book was funny but the second not so much. I was hoping for a funny book like the first but the second got a little serious.
