"Shooter? If so then buy this audiobook."

I almost didn’t buy this book because of the title. Don’t get me wrong, I have the utmost respect for the entire SF community but I didn’t think that it was going to be the real deal. I promise you, this one is. I’ve been a cop for about a dozen years and on our SWAT team for nine. I’ve been trained by some world class shooters (not saying that I’m one, just a fortunate and perpetual student) and I can tell you that Chris Sajnog is what he says he is. No question. I am simply amazed that a product this good is available at such a small price. I have paid for range time with some great shooters (in addition to what I’ve received for free) and this is, hands down, the best return on my investment in this department that I’ve ever made. Lots of gems in this one. The narration is great as well. You don't need to keep reading the other reviews. Just click "Buy Now".

    "Great book, needs .PDF companion"
If you could sum up How to Shoot Like a Navy SEAL: Combat Marksmanship Fundamentals in three words, what would they be?

    Practical useful instruction.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The book has quite a bit of practical information that is of direct value to a shooter. The focus on the fundamentals is important, no "pitch" to buy more gear but in how to learn by doing and not just reading a web page and watching YouTube.

    Any additional comments?

Highly recommend the book but it really needs a .PDF companion. There are several topics that can be extrapolated from the audio but a picture or diagram would be very helpful.

    "GREAT!"
Would you consider the audio edition of How to Shoot Like a Navy SEAL: Combat Marksmanship Fundamentals to be better than the print version?

I didn't read the book but with the Audio Book you get access to the visuals to everything he talks about.

What did you like best about this story?

I have read and watched a lot on this topic. He did the best at truly explaining these things and concepts.

Have you listened to any of Chris Abell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    This was my first!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Shoot like the TRUE HEROS!!!!

    Any additional comments?

First off lets talk about the book! He did a awesome job explaining how to be a better shot. I read and watch a lot on this topic. He had some very good analogies that really brought home these ideas for me like no one else had. This will take you from being a beginner that can barely hit to (with practice) being able to keep up with friends that have shot pistols all their life's on the pistol tree.

Even bigger than that... I reached out to support for questions about the videos. It was late at night. I really wanted to just get it sent over to them expecting not to hear anything back for a few days. I got a response less than 30 minutes later with not only the answers to that question but nice words also!

I will get more of his material!

    "The actual processes of shooting"

The Navy Seal's easily learnt system of shooting and it doesn't require long hours at the range. Chris is brilliant author and teacher in his presentation. it's a must read for all gun owners who are ready to take on the safe and responsible way to learn how to be a better gun owner in all aspects. I've have been studying using Chris's methods for on 6 or 7 weeks now and am a beginner who is start to group my shots at ten yards consistently. This may not be great improvement to some but I started from zero. Thank you Chris

"Great Reinforcement of The Basics, both Old and New"

I need to to be reminded of good practices several times a year therefore this is a good listen for me. Also, my understanding of the basics change, I adapt. This book brings new thoughts about some of the basics which is mostly about adapting to you and the situation.

"Awesome book worth every cent !"

The training in this book is excellent. Very well written and the author explains techniques in a way that is easy to understand. I have read many books on shooting and I wish I had read before now.

    "Not meant for audio"

I made it through about 50% of the audio book before giving up. This guy may be the SEALs best shooter but he cannot articulate it into words. When you hear "Follow the link to the video." it says it all. He should make a You Tube video not an audio book. I assume the written material is similar.
It took about 5 chapters to finally find some actual instruction. The author uses the tried and true method of teaching tactic:
    1. I will tell you what I am going to teach you.
    2. I am telling you.
    3. I told you what I taught you.
Simple but effective -- WHEN YOU CAN PARTICIPATE.
He may have some good techniques for shooting, they just don't translate to book form very well. The publisher should be ashamed they did not assign an editor to help out. Many people know how to perform tasks well, it does not mean they can convey that knowledge to a student.
Some people can convey that knowledge -- they are good instructors.
Putting that knowledge into a book, or recording format requires an entirely different set of skills.

Don't waste your money. There are far better books and videos for learning how to shoot.
The reader does a good job. He is clear and concise.

For full disclosure: I shoot quite well. I have instructed non-shooting courses, taught college level classes and worked as a technical editor.

    "Top notch."

There's a lot of SEAL BS lore out there. It's good to hear the real scoop from a real instructor. Time in this book was time well spent. I'm on to his next title.
