Having been there...

Bias up front, I know Clint. But I also have been there and done much of this. He is spot on in every aspect. This is real world, so it's not what many out there want to hear. But everyone out there, sheep and sheepdog, need to take note. Example, police offices being stalked or surveilled, another the guys videotaping that they were pointing a gun at unsuspecting officer. These are sheepdogs! Not a criticism, just an example.

The book is very informative and well delivered. Way to go Clint!

Very Informative

Comes in as a very handy guide full of excellent onformation. A must for anyone who could use some essential skills. A good plan B for action.

Best information on the subject

You can tell the author knows what he is talking about. You can use this on a daily basis.

Wonderful book

All the people who say this book lacks substance are full of crap. This book teaches you how to turn a disposable camera into a tazer… that by itself proves then wrong. Awesome book from an awesome author.

I feel like this book will get me arrested, but...

And simultaneously unarrested.

I learned so many new useful things about staying safe in this book...and some things--I didn't want to know.

Great work. Enjoyed it. Will be reading more from Clint. I enjoyed how straight forward and direct the book is. No BS is the only way to go.

Not a fan of teaching people how to make bombs, but next book, please teach people how to catch people who make them...or scan an environment or read people for potential threats, and such. Also, I would like to hear more about the Danish Veterinarian thing.

interesting practical info...but buy physical book

I listened to this quickly, but written with diagrams is probably more useful.

I liked the author's 2 sided approach. Each lesson has an "operator" approach which is rarely something that an everyday person would find useful. Then the "civilian" approach which was smart "oh shit" scenario knowledge.

I found very little to be humorous. I think if you can find humor in the scenarios posed, you live a sheltered existence. I will say that some of the "civilian" takeaways were a bit of a stretch given the lesson. Even in those, the knowledge that a hostile "operator" will behave in such a manner is valuable.

in short, highly recommend this book. I do suggest the hardcopy though. i plan on buying it myself at some point.

Covers a LOT!

The real deal. Practical actions and information anyone can benefit from regardless of age or physical condition. There's enough for everyone.

the details...

While the information was well structured and easy to understand, it was not well detailed and thus lacked the full body of instruction that I was hoping for. This would be hard to achieve in any book, let alone an audiobook. A good read to civilians with little to no military, law enforcement, or emergency management training.

Following with the paperback heros

There are a lot of ignorant reviews on this book, clearly from folks who either have no real-world experience, who expect some kind of Hollywood pizazz, or who have no ability to connect the dots themselves. I suggest giving these reviews very little attention. This book is greatly about mindset and pointing you in the right direction of things to explore further. Every situation is going to be different and having a little preparation, along with an operator mindset, will give you a tactical advantage.
This book is highly useful if you're not ignorant.
