If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this Greater Than a Tourist book is for you.

Greater Than a Tourist - Cambridge, UK by Jennifer Baines offers the inside scoop on the city of Cambridge in England. Most travel books tell you how to travel like a tourist. Although there is nothing wrong with that, as part of the Greater Than a Tourist series, this book will give you travel tips from someone who has lived at your next travel destination.

From this audiobook, you will discover advice that will help you throughout your stay. This book will not tell you exact addresses or store hours but instead will give you excitement and knowledge from a local that you may not find in other travel books or audiobooks.

Travel like a local. Slow down, stay in one place, and get to know the people and the culture. By the time you finish this audiobook, you will be eager and prepared to travel to your next destination.

A Must For Your Visit To Cambridge

This book is like a friend who has lived in Cambridge for a long time giving you tips on where you should go and what you should do. Fifty great ideas that include but also go well beyond the University. Afterall, Cambridge is a city as well as a University and both have a lot to offer. Especially in audiobook format (and only an hour and fifteen minutes long) this book is a perfect travelling companion on your trip to the U.K.

One negative: I found narrator David Angelo grating. I’m not sure what his accent is (muted Scottish, perhaps?) but to me it was a distraction from the text. This is definitely one of those books where you wish the author had done the narration.

In a nutshell: Content, excellent. Delivery, distracting.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Very monotonous narrator but interesting stoory

I found the narrator to be very boring and monotonous, although the book itself is quite interesting as it takes you on a tour of Cambridge without having to go there. If you do travel there then there are lots of interesting bits of information about where to go and when, which may be of help to you
