Story
When Charity ran away with the Romany Gypsies, she left everything behind: her name, a way of life constrained by English rules, the punishments her cruel father meted out in the name of God, and the young man who made it all bearable. Certain things she can’t hide, even in wild, remote Wale: a secret longing for the ease of English life, the wisps of faith that still linger, and her reaction to a handsome face she thought she’d never see again.

Publisher's Summary
Bargained away to a brothel, she is beyond hope, beyond rescue...but not beyond the reach of the one man who can save her.
He's hurt her in the past. Can she trust her heart to him again?
During an age of chivalry they were sweethearts, planning a future together in England.
Headstrong and proud, Catherine Sudfield remembers everything about Stefan Boswell. And she loved him in spite of his poverty and lack of nobility. The restless Gypsy rogue's powerful good looks and promises of love were more than enough to satisfy her youthful dreams.
But then Stefan left without a word, and Catherine's uncle bargained her off to a brothel.
Sometimes, bonds between a man and a woman, however young, are meant to last a lifetime. But will it take more than a dose of Gypsy magic to chase away the doubts between two guarded lovers?

It’s a short story but…
The story was a short one but more than enough to give an accurate depiction of how women were treated back then in certain circumstances as well as evoke a huge amount of emotion. It gave also a clear resolution but personally, I would have liked the ‘how’s’ of a few things. But then again, Gypsy magic was actually an amusing and intriguing answer.

Delightful and So Romantic!
Catherine Sudfield was deserted by Stefan Boswell once, or so she thought. Now, five years later Stefan’s back, wanting to pick right up where they left off! Unfortunately, in Stefan’s absence, Catherine’s unscrupulous uncle bargained her away to the local brothel! When she lays eyes on Stefan, Catherine is more than a bit perved, and let’s say somewhat less than receptive!
Seeking Catherine is a delightfully written, beautifully narrated romance that will entertain you, make you laugh, and quite possibly, make you shed a tear or two! The dialogue was brilliant! The pacing perfect as the story plays out. I was literally hanging on every word waiting for the details of how Catherine and Stefan came to be separated, and what transpired while they were apart. The length was perfect for listening in one sitting and will definitely be listened to again and again! I loved it!

Catherine and Stefan
This story is quite short it's set in 1500s England and tells the tale of Catherine, the daughter of an earl who was sold to Sir Thomas, a brothel owner by her uncle to pay his debt, and threatened that if she didn't cooperate, her sister would face the same fate. Catherine and Stefan, a lowly gipsy were in love once but he left to seek his fortune leaving Catherine to wonder what had happened to him. Catherine's a virtual slave to Sir Thomas, when Stefan shows up searching for her she's shocked, she believes it's too late for them but Stefan tells her he has made his fortune and can provide for her and intends to take her with him when he leaves and make her his wife. Can she trust Stefan not to leave her again? Will he be able to convince her to give him/them a chance? If she leaves can they stop her sister from facing the same fate?
The narration by Tessa Petersen was for me a little laboured and slow but after increasing the speed I was able to listen and enjoy this quick tale of love and redemption.
I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.
