Read with Caution

It is incredibly graphic but well worth the read.. it exposes the horror many sex traffic victims go through and the fear that keeps them trapped. What was most shocking though is how many doctors and police ignored all signs that she was in need of help. Society must do better

I was looking for something disturbing, but this is quite graphic. Amazing story, good listen, but be warned, it's brutal

Brutal but necessary

If more people in this world understood the potential for depravity and brutality that exists in 'humanity,' many of these survivors could have been spared some of their pain and suffering, because the 'fed flags' wouldn't be ignored and their stories would create, at least questions, if not outright investigations, instead of disbelief and criticism.

The willingness to turn a blind eye and not get involved is what gives the monsters in human form all the power. As difficult and uncomfortable as it is to listen, see, and act, it is negligible compared to the loneliness, pain and terror suffered by the victims of these inhuman acts.

Thank goodness there ARE a few people who are willing to risk careers, livelihoods and sometimes even their own lives to aid victims and help them become survivors. And, thank goodness some of those survivors have the courage to share their stories so some of these despicable people can be spotlighted and seen for what they are.

Religion plays a part in treating others

Wow! This book takes you inside a world that most people can’t fathom its realism. Some of it was hard to listen to of what you endured that I had to stop. I did pray for you Anna. Then I took most of a day to listen to the rest because I wanted to hear your rescue, otherwise it wouldn’t be in the title. You are stronger than you think and feel. Thank you for telling your story. This is a book to read !!!

It’s very hard to listen but so worth it

It’s full of hope but a lot of suffering. I saw myself being so angry that Anna wouldn’t speak up but it’s part of the trauma she endured. Heartbreaking.
