Great book sad story....must read for anyone who l

must read for anyone who loves children and wants them to be treated right....great story. sad but these things do happen....

How could it happen, how could she not tell anyone...

Shockingly detailed physical and psychological tale of the abuse suffered by a poor little girl after having being served in a silver platter to a paedophile by her own mother.
Be that in 1972 or1922 it's incomprehensible how a parent could've been so foolish and carelessly neglectful, something that in the USA would've warranted prosecution. The narration was excellent.

Thank you for sharing your story. It was well written some of the details were hard to listen to. I feel that this may have been due to the fact that I myself am a survivor. However, surprisingly I found the book therapeutic. Thank you again

There are so many twists and turns to the abuse children experience. This is a great example of how some parent's absolutely fail to protect their children. One bad decision and one unprotected night have adversely impacted this child's entire life forever. A must read for Guardians Ad Litem's and CASA's.

Always learning what to look for

As many of these stories I have listened to, each one still leaves me heartbroken and horrified. This girl was incredibly strong & the grace she has handled this abuse with is impressive. Every one of these subjects I have read/listened to teaches me something else to watch for. Always learning what signs to watch for and hoping I can help any child that is in such an awful situation!

heartbreaking

definitely think the narrator should of been younger. the story itself was very touching. this poor kid and the mother not having any sense of danger was so maddening. I hope she gets to a better place with her mom. so glad the donation go to a good causes. healing is super important
