My name is Elena and I used to be a human being. Now I am a sex slave. If you are reading this diary then I am either dead or I have managed to escape.Trafficked: The Diary of a Sex Slave is a gritty, gripping, and tear-jerking fictional audiobook, inspired by real victims' accounts and research into the sex trafficking underworld.

What made the experience of listening to Trafficked the most enjoyable?
The narrator was phenomenal! She was even able to create an accent to make it sound like she was the woman in the story! The story is a good one as wellWhat was one of the most memorable moments of Trafficked?
I cannot think of one specific moment that was memorable for me.What does Ilyana Kadushin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Kadushin was phenomenal! I felt like I was literally listening to the female MC reading her diary out loud! The narrator of this book even created an accent to match… her performance was really, really spectacular! Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

My preferred genres are dark romance and dark erotica so the majority of the books I have read over the past year have been about men and women forced into sex slavery. When I chose to read TRAFFICKED, I expected it to be similar to the books I usually read; I was wrong. TRAFFICKED is not romance or erotica, it is a sad story. Told in first person, TRAFFICKED is a fictitious diary of a woman's experience while being a sex slave. I was fortunately able to listen to this in audiobook format; the narrator was phenomenal!Because I am accustomed to reading very disturbing, twisted, dark fiction on this topic, this story did not pull on my heartstrings like it hopefully will for other people. While reading the first 1/3rd of this book, I was extremely moved. The main character's emotions were palpable and moving. I began to feel a bit irritated about 50% into the book, realizing that I was listening to a woman complain about how horrible her life was. It was certainly a horrible life but who wants to listen to how sad someone is for hours!? I also found myself wishing that the word stop worrying about her daughter so much, instead getting busy doing more! She does have reasons for her concern but I saw options for her that you're not explored in the book.
I think this book could be improved by adding more details about events that took place, giving the reader more in depth descriptions of the cruelties the female MC endured. For example, rather than just writing, "he raped me", it would be nice if the author had at least described portions of what happened (was he on top of her, standing up, on a bed, etc.). There was one particular customer who was described more than anyone else but again, I thought that more detail would have made that scene better.
Ms. Hodge did a fantastic job of telling this story in a classy way. Trafficking is not something all people want to read about yet like the author states in her notes, this is a huge, real problem that people need to read about and discuss.
Sad story told by an absolutely amazing narrator!

It sheds light on the gritty and grotesque world we live in while asking the question "what can you do?"
I am thankful for authors like Sible Hodge who are not afraid to speak out, use their gifts, and ask for change.
It was a very gripping and educational novel and sparked in me a fire to be aware and fight for all those who are enslaved by our worlds corruption.
The narrator Ilyana Kadushin perfectly reflected the internal and external struggle of the young protagonist. I truly admire her skill to present a novel that is rough to it's very core.
Overall this novel was well written and produced.
