Brutal

Excellent book, very violent, but everything needed to be told. The abuse was horrendous. The worst I've ever read about. So heartbreaking I found myself so sad for Hannah over and over again. How one person could suffer so severely and crawl out of that dark place is beyond me. Hannah will live with the affects of the abuse the rest of her life and that makes me so sad for her.

Heartbreaking & infuriating

Could not stop listening. Heart wrenching & just so awful she had to endure all of that. Thank you for the courage to tell your story.

Wow

What an amazingly horrible story ( in a good way).
This woman was put through hell and came out the other side.

How much she took over & over.

The dialect pertaining to objects etc., the different words to get used to describe everyday things.

Excellent. No slow parts. Horrific wife abuse.

A tragic example of a wife and mother that stayed with her abuser, because that’s all she knew. What separates this book from the run of the mill wife abuse books is the way the husband forced the wife into a unique and disgusting form of prostitution. I won’t divulge more or it would be a spoiler.

This book is worth reading, and there are no slow chapters. Well narrated.,

Matt Should be Tortured

The story is hard to believe but we don't get to write how our lives will turn out. I can hardly understand why Matt only got 17 years. He deserves daily torture. I find it sad that she may have left if she knew she had somewhere to go and resources to help her start her life over again. Hopefully more people realize this before their situation gets to this point.

Nowhere to Hide

This was not an easy story to listen to, however Hannah’s fight to become free is both gut wrenching and amazing! Loved the reader, and appreciate all of the advice at the end! WELL DONE!!

loved her story

Great book! I could hardly put it down. It's such a a heartbreaking story with a strong finish. The narrator made dud a fabulous job. Definitely recommend.

Great listen but hard to listen to

Boom was great, sadness , anger and frustration throughout the book. Sadly this type of domestic abuse is out there more than most could ever imagine. Not sure about the end as maybe I wanted it to be a bit different in a few ways but overall a great listen.

THIS BOOK DOES A GOOD JOB OF PORTRAYING THE MENTAL EXPERIENCE OF THE VICTIM, I WILL ADMIT HOWEVER NO WORDS CAN DESCRIBE THE PAIN THHE CHILDREN EXPERIENCE THROUIGHOUT THEIR LIFE, DAIILY DEPRESSION FEELINGS OF BEING TRAPPED IN HELL WITH NO END OR WAY OUT, YOUR BRAIN ATTEMPTS TOO DESTROY ITSELF
