Audiobook Thoughts: This dual narration audiobook is voiced by Jacci Prior and Benjamin Crow. I’ve listened to numerous audiobooks of Jacci’s (most recently, Carrion) and a few from Benjamin Crow. The pacing and voice variations (specifically, for the various male MCs) were absolutely perfect. The crow caw-ing was… a whole thing that I did have to skip due to sensory issues.

The Lovely: I loved so many individual pieces if this book and how they came together. Think Lara Croft but with forbidden magic, several unknown (to her) mates, and a life changing betrayal. I love the FMC - she’s badass yet sometimes vulnerable, but not in an annoying way.

Also Lovely: The why choose is fantastic. This is a slow build why choose where MMCs are added over time. We’ve definitely met a couple of them, and I suspect a couple more.

Recommendation: Like I said, all the pieces come together for an exciting, fun and building romantic read. The lush world building provides a backdrop for an adventurous story and shifting character relationships. Book two in this series is already available in print and the audio recording for the audiobook has already commenced.

After reading this book I didn’t know if the audio would hold my attention but it basically made me salivate, gape in awe and giggle with passion!
