Would you consider the audio edition of Stolen Legacy to be better than the print version?

I didn't read the print version but Emily Woo Zeller is fantastic! I certainly didn't feel I needed to read the print version!

Who was your favorite character and why?

All the characters in this series are fun. Of course, Captain Jelena is the focus (it is also told from her point of view) but literally every character is great.

Which character – as performed by Emily Woo Zeller – was your favorite?

Well, obviously Jelena!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No but it made me FRUSTRATED that this is the last one in the series (so far). Now I have to wait for Book 4!!!

Any additional comments?

I told you guys I was obsessed. Thankfully this is as far as Buroker has written in this series (thankfully because there are OTHER books on my TBR list that I’ve been neglecting while I rocketed off with Jelena and her crew).

Usually I tire of a series after the first book or two but Book 3 was just as good as the first two books. Note: this is a series not a trilogy so I expect we will get more adventures from Jelena, Thor, Erick and everyone else on her ship.

In this adventure, the crew finds themselves shipping Starseers on an archaeological expedition to a far off asteroid. The two Starseers and science officer (Jelena’s sort of ex-boyfriend) are not very open about their motives behind this trip and it soon becomes apparent that at least one of them has nefarious intentions.

What follows next is a fun, suspense filled tale of pirates, evil and good Starseers, a lost alien civilization, and so much more. In addition to all the adventure, Thor’s struggles with his need to fulfill his father’s wishes and do the right thing continue as does Jelena’s growing feelings for him (despite Joe, the scientist ex-boyfriend who is still in love with her, being on board). A lot happens in this little book and the pace is so fast, the reader is pulled right into Jelena’s world!

As a footnote: I’ve been reading this series on the Audible audiobook versions and the narrator (Emily Woo Zeller) is absolutely outstanding. If you like audiobooks, this is also one of the better performances I’ve found for a book series.

One of the reasons I love this series is that Lindsay Buroker is a masterful artist at painting an entirely new futuristic universe. I’m also a trekkie and grew up on the original Star Wars so … if that sounds like you, check this series out. To be honest, it’s the first book series that’s engaged me as much as TNG and Luke, Hans, and Leia!

Get ready to enjoy a while new world and character

As always Lindsay Buroker has created a new series of worlds and characters you have to read about. In this case the Audible series has a great reader that manages to create all the different characters voices without interfering with the story. pick up book three was anyway you can, settle in for an entertainment ride.

Most enjoyable. I like the teamwork and Yelena's and Thorian's romance. There are lots of action and tense moments. The quick wit between Yelena and Thorian and the rest of the group is very good. Very interesting plot and I hope there will be more books in this series. Lindsay Buroker is a very storyteller and Emily Woo Zeller performed the different characters well.

Great finish to the initial Trilogy

Lindsay writes a good story and this series is an excellent example of her writing talents.
She hopefully will continue this series with another Trilogy developing her key characters.

Great story as expected but...

great story!indsay delivers again! My only critique is the voices of Leonidas and Brody. Brody's started off bad but got better and thankfully Leonidas didn't have too big a role because it was bad. Everyone elses voices were perfectly done. Leonidas sounded like a retired frat bro, not matching the character and his history at all. that being said i still do like Emily Woo Keller and will 100% listen to her.
