A new LitRPG apocalypse series from Nicholas Sansbury Smith, the New York Times best-selling author of Hell Divers.

Welcome to the System: salvage, slay, survive.

For Chris Mason, working construction at the pinnacle of New York's skyline feels like being on top of the world—until that world is shattered when an otherworldly portal transforms Manhattan into a deadly fantasy realm.

Chosen as a "salvager" by a mysterious System that has plagued humanity throughout history, Chris must now scavenge the ruins of his city for materials to craft weapons, armor, and shelter while the city continues to transform around him.

With only his sledgehammer for protection and a wise-cracking rat named Bunny as his guide, Chris fights through a nightmarish New York where Central Park has become a mutated forest, subway tunnels hide deadly dungeons, and familiar streets are hunting grounds for monsters.

If Chris has any hope of thriving, he must level up his salvaging skills to build not just walls and weapons, but a community of salvagers strong enough to reclaim their world from the alien force threatening to consume it. Yet among the survivors, loyalty is scarce, and some are willing to betray humanity itself for the promise of power.

From the New York Times best-selling author of Hell Divers and the Extinction Cycle comes an apocalyptic LitRPG adventure where humanity’s last hope lies in the rubble of a fallen city. Perfect for fans of Dungeon Crawler Carl, System Apocalypse, and Defiance of the Fall!

Nicholas Sansbury Smith does what he has been able to do in all of his books, which is set a scene that is so imaginative and vivid that you forget that you are reading or listening to a book, and feel like you're in the moment seeing it happen.

Salvage System is an awesome system apocalypse litrpg with tons of fun characters, interesting situations, and hard hitting action.

Just looking at the cover art, you know that you're in for a fun time.

I would say if you like Dungeon Crawler Carl you'll probably like this book. Definitely a little more serious than DCC, but they share some elements that make them comparable without it at all being a copy (and from what I hear, Nick and Matt Dinnimin are buddies.)

I 100% recommend this book and although I've already read it, I've got the Kindle and Audible versions preordered too!

Don't miss out on such a fun adventure!

Really fun book!

So I have to start off by saying this was my first LITRPG and I honestly thought all the stats would have been a distraction from the story, but it wasn't. The characters were well thought out and the world was detailed and a new concept for me. This was a entertaining and fun read and I can't wait for the next one to come out! Nick is the best and the narrator was perfect !!

this world was so much fun

This is a great story from a amazing story teller. He jumped genres and still hit it out of the park. Excitement throughout the whole book. Cant wait for book 2.

Great story

I read the Hell Divers series by Smith a few years ago, and decided to give this one a try, not sure if I would like it or not. To my surprise, it was fast paced, maybe more so than Hell Divers. I found myself laughing out loud multiple times throughout. Needless to say, I'm greatly looking forward to book 2. Well done to the narrator, by the way. Kramer has a charm to his voice. Really enjoyed his skills bringing this story to life.

Surprisingly awesome!

I’ve been a fan of Nick S. Smiths for quite awhile and absolutely LOVE every one of his books and series I have read, Hell Divers, Orbs, The Last Ship….and THIS book is No exception! True to NSS’s style, this book takes you on a journey of Excitement, Thrills, and best of all Laughs from beginning to end! I truly hope this book is the 1st of many in a new series by Nick. The Rat, “Bunny” is HILARIOUS, and the action begins in just the 1st few pages, guaranteed to keep you glued to this book til the end!
But don’t take MY word for it, pick up a copy and see for yourself. If you love Nicholas Sansbury Smith, you’re gonna LOVE “Salvage System” I guarantee it!

Nick hits yet another one OUT of the Park!

Nicholas Sansbury Smith is an author I was introduced to from reading the Hell Divers & EDay series. When he announced Salvage System, I had no idea what to expect except that the cover is hilarious. I went into this with no expectations and was pleasantly entertained with humor and the story poking my nerd brain cells. My imagination went wild! Looking forward to the next one!

Entertaining & Unexpected!

I'm fairly new to LitRPG but this is one of the best I've read yet! The main character is smart unlike a lot of the main characters I've read in other system apocalypse. It's also full of humor and solid action. This is a well written and well paced book that has a bit of everything, including great characters. I loved Bunny and Chuck! Can't wait for book 2 and it looks like the wait won't be long!

What a hoot! Love it!

Dude. What a blast! Smith takes on LitRPG is top level. I read an interview where he talked about falling in love with the genre and it’s pretty clear he wasn’t lying. He did it justice in the best way and having Kramer narrating? Boss move. More please!

Thicc rat for lyfe
