Publisher's summary

They couldn’t afford a ship, much less the cost of registering one...and now they need an entire fleet!

Harmon Tomeral, along with friends Clip, Zerith, and the artificial intelligence Jayneen, were heroes. Having brought back the battlecruiser Salvage Title from an unknown system, they defeated the alien Squilla and saved their home system of Tretrayon, although they lost the computer holding Jayneen in the battle.

But the Squilla are coming back. And, not only are they coming, they have also recruited the alien Krift to help them destroy the Tretrayon system. Their fleet is enormous and will easily defeat the few remaining ships Harmon has to defend the system. Tomeral and Associates are going to need a fleet of their own!

In order to get them, though, they need an operational Jayneen, so they will have to go back to her system and find another computer for her to inhabit. If they can. Then they will have to find and convert ships in her home system, hire mercenaries, and buy more ships - none of which Harmon knows anything about - before the Squilla lay waste to their system.

The Squilla are coming, and they’re prepared to do whatever it takes to destroy the Tretrayon System, Salvage Title, and, most importantly, Harmon Tomeral! And his time is quickly running out....

An enjoyable and bright book

I really am enjoying this series and recommend it to anybody that likes a little more slice of life sci-fi. Also in a world of gloomy and gritty sci fi this series is on the brighter side of things, life might not always be easy for our characters but it's never depressing .

Awesome Series

This book is an excellent continuation of salvage title. It is very well written and the narration is awesome. I recommend this to anyone who likes four horsemen universe, B V Larson and Christopher Nuttal

The best space epic since the Ender's series.

This has been one hell of a hero's journey and I can't wait to get to the next one. This is by far the best space epic that I have read/listened to since the Ender's series. I can't wait to dive into Salvage system.

Another great installment in space opera

These books are just fun. The characters are a bit outrageous. The stories are a bit predictable. And yet, the action, the just joyousness of the space romp comes across.

I’d note that while there is a definitive political stance (pro gun, pro diversity) it isn’t overwhelming and you can quickly get back into the story when it comes up.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Book 2 doesn't disappoint

Salvage Fleet does not disappoint in the 2nd book of the series. Harman Tomeral and friends are now having to defend their planet from a group who simply want to own and destroy. On top of that, they are having to work to find a way to bring back their AI being with a will of her own. Throughout this book, the plot grows, the characters become more alive and the system...well, if you want to know what happens to their planet and system, you'll have to read/listen to the book.
KC Johnston continues as the narrator for this book and continues to do a fantastic job. His story telling is outstanding and he brings the characters to life.
Book #3, here I come!

The Continued Adventures of Harmon and Company!

I finished book one just a couple days ago, and immediately began listening to book two. Three days later, I'm finished. The book got me through several hours of work and shed painting, and I enjoyed every minute of it! (The book, not the work or painting. I kind of forgot about those during the listening)

This book picks up pretty much right after the last one finished. The planet's been saved from the bad guys, but more bad guys are en route, and what will Harmon and his allies in the system military do about it? Man up, gun up, and gather some equally manned-up/gunned-up allies, that's what! And that's exactly the task that Harmon and crew have to set about doing. From fixing up their damaged Artificial Intelligence Jay-Neen to purchasing new battleships and fighters to gathering nomadic allies who remind me of the Quarians from Mass Effect, Harmon has his work cut out for him. And if the external threat isn't bad enough, he also has to contend with bureaucrats trying to take advantage of the situation in a military coup.

Once again, KC Johnston does an excellent job as narrator. I don't know how he manages to juggle so many different voices and personalities, but he does it splendidly. In most situations I didn't need to be told who was talking. I just knew based on how delivery of it. That's what I like to hear in my audiobook narrators.

Looking forward to book three!

Fast paced military scifi

The author (and narrator) have really hit their stride on this one. I kinda felt like the first one in the series got off to a slow start, but picked up about half way through. This one hits the ground running! My only issue with the series is that it is more plot/action driven than character driven -- but that is more a preference thing on my part. I am really enjoying the series. I've already started the third one -- and I am not ready for it to end!

Book one was great, book two is even better!

I loved book one and would strongly encourage others to not skip the first book. Good news, book two is even better. It has a highly enjoyable plot and more unique and entertaining characters. I liked the pace and I loved the conclusion. This is a high energy book that is a lot of fun. I'll tell you a secret, book three is not to be missed, it is incredible!

The only negative was the switch of POV sometimes left me lost but it was always brief.

Content: no sex, no cursing
