Good and bad

Great series...joe does a great job but Allie killed me...that whiney nasal voice is cringe

Ruin was my favorite

I loved these books but I think of all the guys I loved Ruin the best. Always upbeat not matter what’s going on. And Jett is my kindred spirit. I really enjoyed all these books. They are definitely worth listening to.

Another great series

I enjoyed this series. It was exciting. Funny. A little mystery. Loved all characters. Narrators did a great job. Must read or listen too.

Magic Gang

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I liked how the story kept me guessing what would happen next and kept me interested through out.

Wanted to Like it :/

The narrator's voice was too old for this story. Her voice was not the worst I've heard but the pitch grated on my nerves. Her deeper male voices were fine. Others might be fine with her voice.

I felt like I had to keep pushing through these books, especially the first one. I know it's fantasy and everyone is supposed to be under an evil spell, but the meanness was too hard to believe. It's easier to believe the ghosts inhabiting people's bodies than people being this awful. It never really made sense why they had to be SO awful. If the bad guys were smart, they should have used her from the beginning and groomed her to be on their side. She would have gone to them easily with neediness to be loved when her own family sucked.

I didn't like the relationship between her and her sister either... weird reconnection and their relationship after didn't seem natural. Her mom and the step dad are completely out of the picture, which seems weird. Jett was a weird guy, beyond wierd. Yes, I know there was a lot of magic and voodoo going on to make everthing weird, but it messed with the realistic flow of human nature.

I loved other books the author wrote. I was disappointed I didn't like this series. Try some of the other books by this author if you don't want to listen to this series or if you didn't like it like either.

binge

book 1: After seven years in an institute Lily is just trying to lay low and move on with her life, but there are other plans in play.
book 2: The four spirits from the past she has grown close to as she seeks answers that have been forgotten.
book 3: this series is so good and each book you can't help rooting for Lily and her guys. Just wow and that ending I need more right now.
book 4: in this series we see justice served in the form the Gaunts get what they finally deserve. Lily and her men get there happiness.

The unique nature of the story

Nothing to dislike. It was a refreshing take on a reverse harem situation. It was dark and funny and sweet and full of action. Very well done

All around good

Good story. Narration wasn't great, but it grew on me a little with time. This story has the typical problems all of Eva Chase's books have - no character connection. Romance wasn't there and it felt stiff. Eva just seems to have problems writing human connection and emotion.

Not what I expected

Not the typical paranormal reverse-harem novels. I love the narrators and will typically follow them. Eva is one of my favorite authors. But this isn't a storyline that I would normally read. Not bad, except for the sword scene, that was unimaginable. Ghostly gang members, vampiric greedy rich people, and frogs... not my style.
