The first three fun, fast-paced Roy Ballard mysteries, now in a single box set.

Gone the Next: Meet Roy Ballard, freelance videographer with a knack for catching insurance cheats. He's working a routine case, complete with hours of tedious surveillance, when he sees something that shakes him to the core. There, with the subject, is a little blond girl wearing a pink top and denim shorts - the same outfit worn by Tracy Turner, a six-year-old abducted the day before. When the police are skeptical of Ballard's report - and with his history, who can blame them? - it's the beginning of the most important case of his life.

Get Busy Dying: Everyone thinks Boz Gentry died in a fiery traffic accident, but Roy Ballard and Mia Madison aren’t convinced. As legal videographers, it’s their job to provide evidence of insurance fraud - and the more they dig into the Gentry case, the more they realize this might be the most elaborate scheme they’ve ever encountered. Of course, when millions of dollars are at stake, con men will take drastic steps to protect their scam - including arson, assault, or even murder. Can Roy and Mia unravel the conspiracy before the criminals get desperate enough to kill?

If I Had a Nickel: Alex Dunn owned one of the most valuable collections of hobo nickels in the world, and it appears somebody killed him for it. Now, Roy Ballard and Mia Madison are hired by the insurance company to track the collection down, which means they might reveal the identity of the killer in the course of their investigation. But the more they dig, the more suspects they uncover, including Dunn’s children, his ex-wife, and a buxom masseuse who takes a hands-off approach to the services she offers.

This is a Three book Box Set. I enjoyed each book. Each book is a separate adventure. Roy works with the insurance companies. He catched people trying to cheat the insurance. He follows them and takes pictures of them doing things there supposed to be to hurt to do. I highly recommend this book plus your getting three books for the price of one. Johnny Peppers does a great job narrating this book. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.

This box set is so entertaining. Mr. Rehder has a great sense of humour. Roy Ballard is witty and sarcastic. The books are very well written with great flow and kept me captivated from beginning to the end. I give much credit to narrator Johnny Peppers with his talents of voicing these characters well. Each book has a different investigation and mystery to solve. Mr. Rehder is a new to me author. This boxset deserves more than 5 stars! I highly recommend these books!

Mystery, comedy and a great read!

I should have stopped listening after the first book, not because of the story or the narration, the more the true nature of the main character (Roy Ballard) was revealed the less I liked him.
The book has good reviews but I did not find Roy Ballard amusing, his constant sarcastic comments concering every person, situation and conversation was exhausting. He has marginal integtrity and the most import person to him is himself. What Roy wants, thinks and feels is always seemingly uppermost to himself and he does what he needs to get every situation to go his way.
Everyone has their own taste, I prefer the detectives I follow to have moral and integrity or at least to desire to have these qualities, All detetives (in this case videographer) are to some degree flawed and know it, Roy Ballard does not see any of his flaws. He lacks RESPECT
In most books in the catagory Mystery the reader is waiting for this charater to be stopped. :)
Perhas the Johmmy Peppers reads him so well you could not but help to find him so annoying.
The actual story in my opionion is just ok.

Glad This One is Finished
