Mr. T F Lince
High-flying trader Dean Harrison has it all: the London penthouse apartment, the fast car, the beautiful wife. But when the threads of Dean’s life start to unravel, they do so with alarming speed. Following the advice of a frail stranger, Dean sets off for Welnetham Hall Hotel and is plunged into the mysterious world of room 119 - a world where nothing makes sense. How does everyone in the hotel know his name? Why does he travel there on a train line that shut down over 50 years ago? And who is the sinister man in black who pursues him wherever he goes? As he gradually pieces together the puzzle of Welnetham Hall, Dean is forced to reevaluate his life and realizes that nothing is more important to him than his wife and daughter. Desperate to get back to them, he vows he would lay down his life for the people he loves. It’s a promise he may have to keep.

With a touch of the paranormal, the twists and turns that mark the main characters journey are as unusual as they are meaningful, and I loved the depth of his relationships with his wife and daughter, as well as other characters who affected his life so deeply.
The narration is excellent and I found no fault with it. A wonderful book and well-deserved five stars, all round.
An amazing story that offers a new perspective

But I pushed on and in the end enjoyed it. All the fantasy and other-worldly things were a bit irritating to me. It makes you think and it has a very good life lesson.
I didn't enjoy the narrator, I don't like these heavy British accents, but realise it fitted with the book.
It was pretty good

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the story, the characters and the narrator was really good as well, and made the characters come to life. I enjoyed how Dean went back in time and the paranormal aspects of the book, but when it came to the clown / circus thing, I sort of lost the plot. I felt it did not really fit with the feel of the story and I did not like it at all. I also felt that the daughter was portrayed a lot younger than the 14 years the book stated she was, as she did not speak or behave like a 14 year old. My favourite part of the story was how all the guides from Welnetham Hall Hotel was all together in the end.
If it was not for the clown / circus part, this book would have gotten 4 stars from me.
Good story, but oy with the clown
