Publisher's summary

From USA Today best-selling author Sky Corgan comes a sexy new billionaire romance.

I've spent my entire adult life avoiding dating, which is funny because I work for a matchmaking service. My boss calls me "The Beast" because of my no B.S. attitude. My job is to scare away problem clients - the unmatchables.

In waltzes Mister Alfred Barnes. He's stuck up, brazen, and mouthwateringly gorgeous. Guys like him think they own the world, but in here I'm in charge. Kicking him out of my office is one of my greatest pleasures...until I find out that he totally lied about his identity.

Someone is going to get fired over this, and it might be me.

Now Mister Barnes is after me. After me in the most unexpected of ways. I've never dealt with anyone like him before, and years of therapy tell me that he's exactly not what I need.

What does my therapist know, though? She has her own secrets, and I'm beginning to think that everyone is out to destroy me. I'm beginning to think that I'm the one who is unmatchable.

This is a standalone novel. No cliffhangers.

Witty Romance with a Heartbreaking Past

This is a cute story of a man doing what he can to help the woman he wants heal from a heartbreaking past. It is full of witty sexual innuendos that range from "Fall off your chair" funny to "fan yourself" hot. It was nice to read a witty love story where someone with such a tragic past is still able to have a sense of humor and find love.

The audio book narration was great! Meghan does a great job voicing all of the characters. Her male POV may be one of my favorites done by a woman!

A Well Written, Well told story with depth!

What a great book, this is my first Sky Corgan book and will not be my last. The story starts off lightheartedly and captured me from the start. But as the story unfolds some serious & issues are brought up. I will not get in to details but will say I love how realistic the author covers the struggles of dealing with them. The characters, Ember and Colton are so different yet so wonderful for each other. I love how the Pervert tamed the Beast.

I listened to the Audible version and the narrator Meghan Kelly was spot on in her telling of the story. Meghan Kelly is also amazingly talented and has the ability to change vocals for each character with out even hearing a breath. Her story telling flows so nicely you would think there was more than one narrator.

Thank you for a great read and great listen!

Good

I really like Sky Corgan, she’s such a good writer and did a wonderful job creating a strong female character. As someone who did the online dating thing, I found a good chuckle at a number of the stories. Meghan Kelly did a wonderful job narrating, Such a good performance!

The Pervert and the Beast

Ember is known as ‘the Beast’ at the match making firm where she works...it’s her job to get rid of difficult clients...and she’s freaking awesome at it!!! One of her recent clients is a rude, self absorbed guy named Alfred and she quickly puts him in his place...out the door. Unbeknownst to Ember, her company has been sold to a venture capitalist named Colton Larson. Here’s where things get interesting...Colton IS Alfred! And Colton really liked the beautiful snarky Beast. He starts stalking her on a dating site and playful banter ensues. Ember started using the dating site to ‘get in the game’. We learn that something happened in her past that caused her to be skittish about dating. She is intrigued by one particular person on the site. Imagine her surprise when she discovers that her rude ex-client, the new owner of her company & the interesting guy on the site are the same person!! Colton asks her out and the pair begin dating. They open up to each other about their pasts and they feel comfortable with each other. But just when things seem to be going well, their pasts come back to muddy the waters. Will Ember give in to her insecurities and end the best thing that’s happened to her? Will Colton get tired of fighting for her love?
Great story of overcoming drug addiction, sexual abuse and forgiveness. Love the ending!

Great Performance!!

Meghan Kelly's narration portrayed every emotion to perfection, which makes of this story a whole different experience than the one you may have when reading the book, exactly what happend to me.

The story turns out to be a bit dark at times and while in the description Ember is portrayed as strong and in charge, someone that takes no B.S. from anyone, sadly she's quite the opposite. However, listening to Meghan Kelly I had the chance to understand Ember's struggles.

The performance is deserving of 5 Shining Stars.

Unmatchable Matched!

Sky Corgan is a talented author who often weaves dark into books and then back to light. I found this book to have damaged characters that are vulnerable and insecure at times. Throughout the story, I felt the love and encouragement changing the outcome. Meghan Kelly did an awesome performance with her distinguishable voices for the various characters. She was able to deliver realistic emotions that the listener could feel. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator. I found this book to be time well enjoyed listening.

A refreshing change?

This book is much different from the normal Sky Corgan books that I am used to, and I loved it. The story starts out light with Ember and Colton with their flirty banter on a dating app, but there is a definite underlying seriousness that gives it some bite and keeps it interesting. Ember has had a rough life, and when her past catches up to her, her vulnerable and insecure side is evident. While I am not fond of weak women, I could easily feel for Ember and found her character very true to life. Seeing her change due to the encouragement and love from Colton is truly beautiful. Colton has some extreme trust issues that will take a lot ot overcome, but he is easy to love with his crude language. Once Ember breaks through his arrogance I found him to be a rock for her to lean on..the question is would she use his strength to find her way to happiness? Corgan has truly written a wonderful story and I enjoyed listening to it.

With her distinguishable voices, Meghan Kelly narrates this book with such emotion and wit that it was easy to immerse myself in the story. She provides a wonderful performance as always.

Great book

I liked everything about this book except the title lol. I thought it was quite the opposite. Perhaps “Pervert tamed the beast” would’ve been more suited.
It has a great storyline. The narration was out of this world - so on point & so expressive. The book is well written & interesting.
