Derek and Amanda...we met Amanda in bk 1, she's the bff of Genna and also the step sister of radio shock jock, Nolan Wood. Derek's family owns a hotel chain and he's not looking for a relationship...neither is Amanda, since her last relationship cost her everything. The pair begin a friends with benies thing but, over a year, this became more, even if Amanda refused to admit it. Of course Derek is convinced to enter into the Man of the Month contest along the way. Derek was an adorable, supportive, low-key kind of a guy; while Amanda was pretty b!tchy...I almost wanted Derek to move on, seriously. Anyhoo, we do get an HEA and catch up with the rest of The Fix on Sixth gang.

This 12 book series covers 12 male calendar models. The calendar was created as a source of marketing revenue for The Fix on Sixth bar. This story starts a year in the past with Amanda detailing the goings on of TFo6 to Jenna. That night she meets Derek. Derek Winston (36; aka Mr Glasses) project manager of Winston Boutiques & wants to run it. When the boutique project doesn't progress he's promoted to North American Operations of the Winston Hotels. Amanda Franklin (aka Gorgeous, Beautiful, Baby) is a real estate agent not looking for a relationship after a bad break up that lead to career issues. One month after their first meeting they hook up again. Derek gets promoted in September when his Boutique deal is stalled. Amanda & Derek meet up again. Amanda left him asleep in bed, ran into Easton, Derek got jealous. Amanda found him a penthouse condo. They spend Thanksgiving with her family. New Year's Eve Derek surprises her by showing up at A Winston event. In the spring, Jenna moves back to Austin & becomes a partner at TFo6. Derek runs into Parker. Parker acts strangely when he sees a woman that "needs some space." Jared tried to commit suicide. In July,  Derek visits Jared. Derek decides to move to Austin and fund his own hotels as DW Boutiques. Jenna borrows Taylor's car, someone threw a brick through the window & she crashed. Amanda realizes she loves Derek.  Jenna asks Derek to replace a drop out in the calendar contest.
