Publisher's summary
Billionaire Alex Roeg is used to women throwing themselves at him. Young, gorgeous, and the owner of a major conglomerate that just keeps growing, he is everything that money-hungry socialites would want in a trophy husband. He just doesn't want to be one. What he needs is a woman who can pretend to be his girlfriend and deflect unwanted attention away from him so he can focus on his acquisitions and running his empire.
Mary Bright is a struggling aspiring writer who wants more than anything to get out of the rut she is in and actually achieve her dreams. After meeting Alex in a hotel bar where she pretended to be his date to dissuade the wife of a colleague from trying to get too friendly, the hot billionaire offers her the position of a lifetime. He will make sure she has plenty of money to quit working and focus completely on her writing, all she has to do is pretend to be his girlfriend at social and corporate events.
As their fake relationship moves forward Alex finds himself wishing there was more to it. After discovering a journal filled with all of Mary's fantasies and hottest secret desires, he goes to work using that information to get closer to finally having his own secret desire....

The Billionaire's Secret Desire is Exciting
Would you consider the audio edition of The Billionaire's Secret Desire to be better than the print version?
Yes. I was able to listen to the entire book in approximately an hour, making it perfect for a lunch break.
What other book might you compare The Billionaire's Secret Desire to and why?
This is one of the first books I have read in this genre.
What about Jodi Stapler’s performance did you like?
Very easy to understand.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It is very exciting.
Any additional comments?
The Billionaire's Secret Desire it an exciting and titillating book that you can easily listen to on your way to work or when taking a lunch break. Mary finds herself in a position that she cannot possibly say no to.
Alex Roeg has it all and he is not afraid to share the wealth. Things start out simple enough, but then Alex starts to learn more about Mary and the fake relationship he is paying for is something that is no longer enough for him. This allows you to really see that Alex, despite his lifestyle and money, is really just a regular guy underneath it all.
The ending of this book is perfect. You will find that you really do share the emotions of the main characters as you go throughout the book. This is what surprised me the most. I expected a simple listen and did not expect to become fully engrossed in the relationship between Mary and Alex.

Fabulous Romance Book To Curl Up To!
Who was your favorite character and why?
The Billionaire Alex Roeg obviously!
He's handsome, rich, dashing, really everything a man ought to be.
Any additional comments?
If you've found romance books like twilight to be a little too juvenile, or books like fifty shades to be a bit too graphic, then this romance book is for you! It's the quintessential billionaire meets normal girl love story, and I couldn't get enough!
Even though the type of story has been done before, it still brings its own twists that keep it exciting. I highly recommend this book for anyone with a sweet tooth that can only be eased by hunky billionaires!

Good characters and plot.
Loved their meet-cute.
Its short. Smexy saved till the end. No violence or cheating drama. Wish there was an epilogue or at least one more chapter. I feel like it ended too abruptly.
This is my first time with author Alessandra Bancroft. She wrote a decent little short. I would like to see what she could to with a full length title.
This story is performed by Jodi Stapler who is new to me. She had a good balance of male to female voices.
Original speed seemed a bit fast to me. I listened @ 0.85 speed. Don't be afraid to experiment.
I listened to this through Audible Escape.

Intriguing and fun romance novel.
If you could sum up The Billionaire's Secret Desire in three words, what would they be?
Romantic, captivating and gripping.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Sweet Mary is my favorite character in this novel. She is innocent like but with a hot and sensual hidden side to her that you find out all about in this novel. I think a lot of women could relate to Mary.
What does Jodi Stapler bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I enjoy the tone in Jodi Stapler's voice. She kept me interested in this book. I never found myself bored or getting tired. I wanted to keep listening all the way to the end (which I did)She is an excellent reader and has perfect pronunciation.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Without giving too much spoilers away..I really enjoyed Chapter 9, Desires. Wow! Is all I can say.

Couldn't stop listening!
The Billionaire's Secret Desire was just what you'd expect from a well-written, engaging and steamy romance novel. Right away the book engages you in the story of Billionaire Alex. Like most attractive, young and successful men, he's used to women throwing themselves at him, especially older women and wives of his coworkers. When Mary saves him from a persistent cougar at the bar, the two begin a business relationship where she poses as his girlfriend to rid him of all the would-be suitors. I won't give too much away, but lets just say, their relationship doesn't end there. Great book!

Short Steamy Book with Sensitive View
Where does The Billionaire's Secret Desire rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It rates in the top 20 of all the audiobooks I have listened too.
What did you like best about this story?
The novel was short and sweet and I could listen to it in just one sitting. It kept my attention very well and introduced the characters especially well. I got to know them in just the little bit of time spent with the book and they became memorable and made me wish the story kept going on and on.
Which character – as performed by Jodi Stapler – was your favorite?
I loved the female lead character, Mary Bright. That name really fit her. She seemed like a sweet and gentle person that had a very sexy side to her. She saved the main male character from the clutches of a cougar wife of a man who worked for him quite nicely and then agreed to play his boyfriend so that no one would hit on him. I was happy when they actually hooked up.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Well, there is a rather steamy sexual situation in the book, but I believe it was done in classy style. It wasn't too much for this old lady (me) and was sensual but gentile at the same time.
Any additional comments?
I wish there was a little more to the book. I would have liked to have known what else went on in the couples life in the future. I do understand that this book was designed to be a short story, but maybe there could be sequels?

Steamy Listen
Would you consider the audio edition of The Billionaire's Secret Desire to be better than the print version?
I enjoyed this better than the print version, because the narrator's voice added emphasis in all the right places.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Mary was my favorite because of her coy banter.
Which character – as performed by Jodi Stapler – was your favorite?
See previous question.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I really enjoyed when Alex has to be rescued at the very beginning.
Any additional comments?
This is a great listen while relaxing in the tub or something like that, but I don't recommend listening while you're driving. It's way too steamy for that.
