With his laid-back cowboy charm and knack for getting under her skin, Luke Hollister is an unlikely hero - but he wants her help convincing her father to sell him land, which means he needs her as much as she needs him. Luke likes his life - and his women - uncomplicated. So why does good girl Olivia heat his blood like no one else?
Sadie Miller isn't expecting any welcome-home parades on her return to Copper Ridge. Least of all from part-time rancher, full-time lawman Eli Garrett. The straitlaced, impossibly hot deputy sheriff glares at her as if she's the same teenage hoodlum who fled town 10 years ago. But running from her demons has brought Sadie full circle, ready to make a commitment at last. Not to a man but to a bed-and-breakfast. On Garrett land. Okay, so her plan has a tiny flaw.
The first time I met Caine West was in a bar. He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out. When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight -- telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass. You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend-smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married. He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done.
As one of Hollywood's A-listers, I have the movie industry in the palm of my hand. But if I'm going to stay at the top, my playboy image needs an overhaul. No more tabloid headlines. No more parties. And absolutely no more one-night stands. Filming for my latest blockbuster takes place on the coast of Maine, and I'm determined to stay out of trouble. But trouble finds me when I run into Lana Kelly.
Emily Callaghan never expected to spend another summer on Wenniway Island. Yet here she is, back in her quaint northern Michigan hometown of Trillium Bay, divorced, flat broke, and dragging along her precocious 12-year-old. It's a simple arrangement: Emily, a house flipper, will renovate one of her grandmother's rental properties in exchange for a much-needed loan. Once a wild child, the reformed Emily also hopes to remodel her reputation and show her family she's all grown up.
Ever since DEA agent Alexander Cobb gave Jodie Clayburn a Texas-size brush-off, they've been sworn enemies. When he pushed Jodie out of his life, he told himself he was doing the right thing. But eight years later, this cynical Texan can't believe the baby-faced schoolgirl has turned into such a beauty. Or that he'd have to beg her to help him crack a drug-smuggling case that threatens Jacobsville. Tantalized to the core, Alexander would risk everything to protect her. In a hot pursuit, the two are drawn closer together.
