Publisher's summary

My name is Vera Varrone. Over the past few days, everything about my life has changed. But with the love of my dragon and the guidance of my Guardian, I have accepted my role. I am the Warden of the Storm.

Still, the dragons have enemies even in a post Supernatural War world. We thwarted Keir’s plans but the bastard son of the Winter and Summer fae courts still has something up his sleeves—I can sense it. Today, we’re bringing him back to the Summer Court to let justice be served, even as he taunts me with the truth of my identity.

Then the unthinkable happens, and now everyone I love is in danger. There's a larger plan in action, an agenda beyond our control. And a secret about myself that even I'm just now discovering...one that changes everything.

excellent

when the world you thought you knew isn't at all what you thought; Vera seeks the truth while trying to save her families. An excellent continuation; can't wait to see what is in store.

Roar Indeed

We jump right in with almost no time passing after the first book. Vera has a very large destiny to fulfill as the Guardian. This is a heavy load for a character that I feel has some growing still to do, and the dragons are not making it easy for her to figure out her role and where she fit. Thank goodness for her Eli and his support and watching their relationship strengthen was a highlight for me in this book. Zezza was also a treat and I loved seeing their relationship blossom as well.
We have action, a mystery and a host of characters that draw you in. In my opinion Jessica Gunn kicked things up a notch in this book, so now I’m anxiously awaiting the next book. It's not easy finding a solid urban fantasy but this series is shaping up that way.
Narrator: Shannon Condon was great again as she narrated book one as well. Her voice fits just right for Vera but doesn't quite hit the male voices. This is easily overlooked as you get immersed in the story

Ok

The storyline was interesting but at times flat. The action was a hit and miss. The narrator did an ok job. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
