Characters far more likable in this one

The mystery & settings are enough to keep me listening. The characters are growing on me. I am glad the story did not become too focused on 21st century politics. There are scenes in this one not appropriate for younger ears, not overly graphic, just a heads up.

Pirates, ghost and romance ?

I was hoping the romance story would advance more than it had... keeping my fingers crossed, it will blossom in book 3.

Spinster at 24? I must say this story was better

Than the last one but both enjoyable. the narrator was very good the story exciting but predictable. Darkefell and Lady Ann, what can be said, I like the story and will see it to the end. I hope that the journey will be as entertaining as books one and two.

Great mysteries

I really like this series. The mysteries are good in it. The characters are really well played. I can certainly relate to Lady Ann. Very romantic, but not a lot of sexual scenes but more mystery and I do love it. It is still set back an older time.

& the gothic romance continues

another great mystery... twist & turns absolutely worth the listen/read. I hated to see it end. but the 3rd audible/book will bring more mystery & hopefully fulfilled love...I can't wait to get started on it!
