Publisher's Summary

Your greatest regret at the end of your life will be the lions you didn't chase. You will look back longingly on risks not taken, opportunities not seized, and dreams not pursued. Stop running away from what scares you most and start chasing the God-ordained opportunities that cross your path.

In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day is inspired by one of the most obscure yet courageous acts recorded in Scripture, a blessed and audacious act that left no regrets: "Benaiah chased a lion down into a pit. Then, despite the snow and slippery ground, he caught the lion and killed it" (2 Samuel 23:20 -21). Unleash the lion chaser within!

Game Changer

This book is a great book if you think balance is over rated. It has given me the faith to do things that I would have blown off as extreme. To give an encouraging word to someone I don't know. It's a great book for comfortable people who are tried of being comfortable.

So much rich info! will keep as a life resource

Loved the author reading this. Really engaging, some very enlightening and out of the box thinking, and challenging of Christian or religious behaviors that I loved! So much here, its a reference book for life, and geared towards those who need change, and inspiration to be a better follower of God with impact on this earth.

Astounding

One of the best I read in a long time. God always amazes me with his timing and this book was exactly what I needed. It will challenge any Christian to keep chasing the Lions.

Me me me. All about me

This book is at best milk toast spirituality with a sprinkle of Bible verses and stories. And at its worst points borderline heresy. The author only seems concerned about what God can do for him and hitting those spiritual highs. And he repeats so many phrases to fill space. Chief among them being the title. Please do not read this as a reflection of Christianity.

Motivation for the Spirit

It is one thing to read a motivational book that says “you can do it”, but it is an entirely different thing to read a book on how God can do it through you. Mark does an incredible job balancing the motivation to do more, Scripture references, personal stories, and calls to action. I read this because a CEO I respect cited this book as the catalyst for starting his business...and now I see why.

Full of Valuable Wisdom, yet very redundant.

If I hear “in a pit with a lion on a snowy day” one more time, I might snap... I very much love the author, but this book takes a few great spiritual truths and then tells them over and over again. The message of this book is challenging and motivating. I recommend reading it, but I don’t recommend listening to the audio book. Mark is talented at breaking down complex truths, but his tone and inflection sound like your high school coach.
