Publisher's Summary

If you are going through a painful breakup or divorce, you may feel like the life you once knew is crashing down around you. You need help to gather the pieces and "rebuild" yourself from the ground up. Rebuilding features Bruce Fisher's "divorce process rebuilding blocks", a proven-effective 19-step process for putting one's life back together after divorce. Now the most widely used approach to divorce recovery, the "rebuilding" model makes the process healthier and less traumatic for those who are divorcing or divorced - and their children. Over two decades of research and practice are combined with feedback from hundreds of thousands of men and women who have used the book on their own or in one of thousands of Fisher divorce recovery seminars worldwide. This book also includes Fisher's detailed Healing Separation model - the first of its kind to offer couples a healing alternative to the usual slide from separation to divorce. This fourth edition, revised with the assistance of psychologist and marriage and family therapist Robert Alberti, continues Bruce's tradition of straight-to-the-heart response to the needs of his clients and listeners.

I have spent the last 5 months reading this book and applying what I have learned. I FINALLY feel happy and healthy. It took work to get here. I would recommend this book to anyone going through a divorce/separation. It explained so many of the thoughts and feelings I was having through the entire process. What an incredible experience! terrible

terrible and not applicable to our current situation.
their answer to lonliness is to sit at home and get used to it. I wonder how many of their clients became clinically depressed!

soothing and supportive

Chose this book as I am going through a divorce and found it supportive and soothing. It also gives advice on how to assist your children when going through/ after a separation. And there is a section for widowers too.
I recommend it. Good luck rebuilding x Vero

Extremely helpful

I found it surprisingly related to so many steps I did in my previous relationship, and even when I thought I was ready to go to the top of the mountain straight away, I realized that I still need to work in some many levels.
The only chapter I found disappointed was Sexuality, I felt it was very conservative and I during the whole chapter it was like dated. But the rest amazing.
