Practical & Real with professional perspectives

This was helpful from a real and raw perspective of an actual experience. I also appreciated the counselors corner and a theologically trained perspective. Good stuff! It’s refreshing to know that marriage doesn’t have to be like a prison sentence that God is there for us even in an unwanted divorce.

Informative, touching the heart of the matter

As a professional counselor, it is a wonderfully written book, written and performed by Lysa, her therapist and one of her theological advisers. It is sound advice that I have encouraged people who have gone through divorce and those who have just been in difficult relationships to read. This has so many applications certainly when walking through a divorce but even when traveling through other unwanted problems as well. Many of the topics are similar although nothing is as keen as the betrayal felt like that of one who thought it would be “forever”. This is the only book that I listened to on Audible while reading on Kindle so I could highlight. Then, I decided to purchase the hardback. I am a voracious reader and this is a first for me. A must read. Have recommended it to colleagues, clients and friends.

Helped Me Through My Divorce

This book gave me such relief that God still loved me and was confirmation for me. God laid the groundwork for me to stumble on this book and after listening to it I cried, laughed, and felt SO heard.
