Yoooooooooo CJ, you did that! Definitely a point for the hood books!
Darnell he was a smart man, I'll give him that. But in his line of business, he kinda overlooked things that maybe he shouldn't have. He was too lack and I believe that is what made others in his camp go after him. And now that I think about it, he damn near past that same trait to Sunny. But with the help of Joy, Sunny for sure is about to be a force to reckon with. I love the relationship that her and Jasmine built, and I'm extremely interested in the dynamic of it in part 2. Now Butter she was that Bihh from the rip! I liked her😂.
And damn, I was so concerned with Damon ion see nothing else coming so it left me stuck with my mouth wide open. Definitely looking forward to part 2.

What's a cross without the double cross!!!!!!
The twist and turns in this story was unbelievable. Betrayal was everywhere, friends, family and lovers have no loyalty! I can usually follow a plot twist and guess what happens next but not with this one, C.J. definitely did his thing with this one. Part 2 me NOW sir!

ummm...it's a NO for me!
Ok, so maybe me standards for certain genres of novels is very high but this was not even "okay" to me. I have read a lot of urban fiction/hood novels over the years and this one is very flat. Way too many unnecessary people were introduced into the story and they had no purpose. There were too many loose ends were left untied so if the author was going for a really good cliffhanger, it could have been done better than this. I don't even care if there is a part 2, which there shouldn't be. I read the 2 reviews before I purchased this and I do not know what they were reading, or maybe they didn't have any others to compare it to, but this is not a good read....and that pitiful so-called family reunion at the end...girl what?...Just LAME
I'm on to my next read; Ty Marshsall, please don't disappoint me like Mr. Hudson did.
