Why I Give This Book 1 Out Of 5 Stars In All Categories

I actually avoid rating books on Audible because I know that the more you rate, the more they are able to pin down what you like. I don’t want that. I want to read the books I want to read, not just books they recommend. So you can see that there’s something significant going on if I rate a book. In this case, everything about this book is negative; but it does not have to be that way. Audible has ruined this book entirely by using a synthetic voice. I’m a totally blind man, and I hear synthetic speech all the time. That’s the only way I have to read a computer screen, a text message, and so on. I know synthetic speech when I hear it. Furthermore, Audible seems not to make any effort to make sure whatever software they are using reads things properly. This certainly can be fixed (should they choose to do it). I know because I do it myself. I don’t recommend that anyone pay to have an artificial voice read to them. If you do, you will definitely know it is not human, and you will probably feel like you are wasting your money.
