The enemy of my enemy is my…husband.

When my father died and I stepped into his shoes as leader of Enigma, I vowed to protect the gang he’d built. And I won’t break that promise—no matter what I have to do to keep it.

So when a mysterious attacker targets our territory, I swallow my pride and propose an alliance between Enigma and the Princes of Carnage, a biker gang led by Nico Morelli. We’ve been rivals for years, but his territory is under attack too, and we’ll have a better chance of defending ourselves if we work together.

Except Nico doesn’t just want an alliance. He wants a guarantee that I won’t turn against him, so he proposes something else.

A marriage.

Now I’m wearing my enemy’s ring and living under the same roof as him and his two best friends. Atlas, the tatted up biker who seems to hate me and crave me in equal measure. And Killian, the silent 6’6” wall of muscle who never says a word to me but seems to notice everything I do.

All three of these men are as savagely beautiful as gods, with black hearts and bloody hands. It should be easy for me to hate them. To remember that this is just a business arrangement.

But when Nico touches me… when Killian watches me… when Atlas protects me…

Everything I thought I knew starts to unravel.

It was ok, the sex scenes were great but the story line was predictable and not gif enough for me to get the second book.

i really hate to say this, but i HATE Daniel James Lewis, every single book he narrates he seems like he’s rushing through it. and Cassandra Medcalf sounds like she’s a news reporter… it just killed this audiobook for me.

honestly…. the narrators are ick

Great story good narration that it ended on a cliffhanger and second book has no release date or preview site not even a prologue.

The book is alright, could have been better, I did however almost dnf it,but I paid for it so I'm gonna finish it. It did get somewhat better along the way, I do however think that more research should have gone into the motorcycle club, the main guy is not called a "leader" he's called the president and the other 2 guys are usually called vp and enforcer and not just any woman rides in the back of an MC brothers bike unless it's the ole lady, also an MC is not called a gang. Definitely could have been more exciting and more research done. But what do I know I'm not a writer

MC and excitement more passion

Honestly i love eva ashwood books and mayb i would have loved this book if the narrator would have been the usual ones from her books. The narrators really ruined this book for me. I stopped midway to not further ruin the series and will just read it

I love this author but this series was a bit of a disappointment for me. The plot seems a bit redundant when comparing it to her other series. The storyline is about gang life and how the FMC and MMC's from opposing gangs meet and how their fates intertwine. Although its not exactly the same storyline as the three/four other series I have read from this author, it felt like the exact same plot as her other series just a different storyline. The MMC's seem to be very similar in personality and this author definitely has a type that she continually recreates. Everything can anticipated based on previous books and there were no surprises making the books a bit boring due to the lack of character-building. Other than the MMC's sharing one or two pieces of information about their childhood you dont get much else. I also felt like the relationships the characters built with each other seems more superficial than in any of her other books. Your kind of left wondering why any of them have feelings for each other and you dont really experience the relationships build. The one thing you can be assured that drew the characters together is sex sex sex. Speaking of sex and the spice, I think most people would rate this 5/5, and although I am never one to complain about more spice and more dirty talk, this series was like a bad porno. When the MMC's say the same thing over and over again it because cheesy and you miss the mark on the audience feeling like its spicy. It was all the things you want to hear and read about but so overkill and done poorly that its a turn off. I am on book three and I think I have hit my limit on the repetition of it all, honestly never thought I would say that lol. I think if you havent read anything from this author yet you might enjoy the plot, the characters, and the way the characters connect from the novelty of it all.

I usually love these two narrators but I think the male narrator was not the right fit for this book. He sounded sleepy at times and his voice is soft which is fine except that the MMC's characters seem like they would have really rugged and deep voices being the scary gang members that they are so it just didnt fit for me. I think he does a great job at narrating for the FMC which is hard for male narrator to do well. The female narrator was good but some of her male impressions especially during spice made me cringe a bit.

Not one of my fav from this author
