What You’ll Learn

This course includes Lessons 6-10 from the Japanese Level 5 program featuring 2.5 hours of language instruction. Each lesson provides 30 minutes of spoken language practice, with an introductory conversation, and new vocabulary and structures. Detailed instructions enable you to understand and participate in the conversation. Practice for vocabulary introduced in previous lessons is included in each lesson. The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension, and on learning to speak Japanese.

solid learning method, 1 awful lesson.

While I would wholeheartedly recommend the Pimsleur learning method for learning while on a daily walk, I must warn that this is another one with an off the rails lesson. You suddenly hop from practicing speaking with friends vs formals and learning how to quote people, to lesson 9 where you suddenly get flooded with topic specific words about Japan's closed country policy and opening policy in the 19th century, that you'll hardly get to use in conversation.
Not only that, but that lesson has some blatant mistakes, asking for 'last month' but answering 'last year', or asking for 'it was fun' and then using 'It was interesting.
