The Gods are dead. The Seven Evils reign. Only Hope stands between humanity and extinction...

When Sorin's parent's mysteriously die, he is starved for truth and thirsty for revenge. He begs the Eighth Evil, Hope, for assistance, and his prayers are answered......

Though not in the way he ever expected.

He is made a Poison Cultivator, a rare class who are shunned by high society.

Unable to continue his medical practice, Sorin turns to adventuring to make ends meet. Though he's only able to afford to team with a ragtag crew of outcasts as companions—An armored polar bear, a stern archer, a sleep-deprived pyromancer, and a peeping-tom rogue. Oh, and a rebellious rat familiar who won’t stop eating the party’s loot when no one is watching.

Things are looking up, until Sorin discovers his ancestor’s hidden research notes about forbidden medical research. What dark deeds was his family up to? Only he can find out... if he and his party can survive the coming Demon Tide.

At first I was a bit skeptical about this book but it turned out well. The overall concept was interesting and made for a new fun, entertaining series. The world building and characters were also intriguing and balanced and enhanced the story making it it that more enjoyable. There were a few odd things that confused me but they didn’t hurt the plot. Well done 👍.

Great concept

It’s hard to find something this unique. I know it draws upon Ancient Greek mythology, but it does it in its own unexpected and creative way that makes it worth the time spent to read it. Can’t wait for the next one!

This is one of the better Cultivation books I have listened to this year. It comes with an MC that is not overpowered. However, he is not so weak that everyone else has to solve his problems. I am super excited for the next book in the series.

Great story. Great MC.

Definitely the best cultivation story i have listened this year, I really liked the MC, yeah he started weak but not useless like in so many other stories that the mc needs to be carried for 3 books before being able to defend himself. he is smart and just takes time to change his mentality of being a doctor to one of a cultivator, also the side characters were great and his teammates were quirky but not annoying at all. I honestly can't wait for the next one!

Awesome

Great start to a new series, hope the next book comes through as well as this one did. Im left wondering now that the outpost was attacked what happens next after he goes back. Whats the grander plot for the mc. I dont think him unraveling his secret techniques are gonna be enough, but great book so far.

A fun new take of poison cultivating.
