I loved how this story ended. This was a sweet and romantic second chance serial. I think each part was better than the last. There is a little bit of a "secret" in this story and I figured it out during book 1 but that didn't make any effect on the story for me. I enjoyed Hunter & Presley's story even if it felt a little choppy because of the "parts". The narration was best in this last book. I think Scott just needed to find his way with narrating and he got better with each book even though he still isn't a great narrator, he has a great voice and he was good for someone who isn't a narrator. All the other narrator were great as always.

Mixed reaction

Overall I would give this story 3.5 stars (which I bumped up to 4). There were aspects I liked - the second chance love story was sweet; Andi's narration; the love letters from long ago. However there were bits I liked much less - Scott's narration (more on this below); a portion of the ending (how it involves other people); the pacing for Hunter & Presley's story.

Re: Scott's narration: I think he could develop into a good narrator, but he needs some work. He has a great voice, so that's a start. But, needs more inflection, more work on having differentiating voices (I wasn't also sure who was speaking during his chapters' convos), better cadence and pacing.

It's still worth the listen, but only ended up being an ok story overall for me.

Big surprise!

I would first like to say that I am not a big fan of Cliff hangers especially ones that lag on for three books. However this particular series just kept coming up in my searches and because it was written by one of my favorite authors I just felt like I had to give it a chance. That being said it was well worth it. Give it a try you’ll definitely be very happily surprised.

Part 3

Ahh ok, this mini series was off to a rocky start for me, but Lauren always brings it home. I enjoyed this last installment of Hunter and Presley's love story. It really did come full circle and second chances are my all time favorite kind of stories.

I love the way the treasure hunt brought them back to each other. That it wasn't just one thing but it was a combination of people and things that showed them the right path.

I adored the ending it was prefect.

Now I know I gave Scott a little bit of a heard time with the narration in the first two books but that is just because I like him so, and his voice is lush. Yes I did have to speed him up a little but still very enjoyable and I hope he continues reading us romance. Andi was great as always.

Choose Love

Overall 3.5 stars
Performance 4 stars
Story 3 stars

This was a sweet conclusion to Hunter and Presley's story. I loved how it brought all the players together to solve the mystery. The story had a lot of promise overall, but being broken into parts made it a little too choppy for me. I love second chance romances, but never really felt the fire re-ignite between Hunter and Presley. There was a lot going on in the story in order to solve the mystery, and even though it centered around love, I felt like Hunter and Presley's love story got a bit overshadowed. This was still an entertaining story though and of the 3 parts, this was my favorite.

The narration was good, but not my favorite. Scott Eastwood seemed to be better in this installment, but it was still difficult at times to distinguish who was speaking since he didn't have a lot of variety between characters. I do believe that he could one day be a great narrator though since he does have a pleasant voice. The cameos by Saskia Maarleveld and Zachary Webber were a fun treat as well. Andi Arndt definitely carried this audiobook though and I continue to be impressed by her range and versatility.

Sweet and charming!

Am I the only one that now pictures Hunter as Scott Eastwood?! Who knew he was so dreamy looking?! Add that to his sound and I am sold! I will say that he needs a tad more emotion in his voice but really I'm just searching. I enjoyed it all! But mix that up with these top notch narrators and I couldn't get enough of these amazing characters. I really enjoyed the second chance storyline and those letters! Hunter and Presley grew so much and I loved this ended... sweet and charming!

That ending...

What a wonderful ending! I can't tell you much without spoiling, but deep swooning will occur!

This was such a beautiful love story. Hunter and Presley both growing so much since their breakup ten years prior. I was so anxious for those letters, almost as much as Hunter and Presley. Those letters were their own great love story. Hunter and Presley's tale was unfolding, even though they didn't know it. Everything happens for a reason, and true love endures.

Scott and Andi narrated this story perfectly. I got all the feels they shared.

Love letters plot hard to believe

Romance plots often require some suspension of disbelief. For me, this was too contrived. And the narrators often sounded like they had trouble getting behind the plot as well.

3.5 Stars - I love grand gestures!

The last installment in this little series was everything I hoped for story-wise. We continue to follow Hunter and Presley on their scavenger hunt that makes both of them realize that love is worth fighting for. I said after the first part that I hope that Hunter finally puts Presley first. And he came through in a big way, grand gesture and all.

Overall I really enjoyed their love story and it's so fitting that we send them into their happily ever after in the week of love. I adored the epilogue and I think we can expect a story about Hunter's friend Trevor which I'm really looking forward to! I do think that making this a three part story and releasing them with just enough time between parts to lose the story's dynamic did the story a disservice. The drive was taken out of it.

All the narrators did an excellent job, although I still think Scott needs some practice to make some of his narration sound a little more natural and fluid but I'm not mad that I got to listen to him. We get a little Zach Webber and Saskia Maarleveld cameo again and they do a lovely job and really add to the experience.

I received a free copy for reviewing purposes (thank you, Audible) - my review is unbiased and my honest opinion.
