Lauren Blakely did it again!

I do read books by other writers, but Ms Blakely has been drawing me in more and more these days. I don't picture his as a book when I'm hearing the narrators acting out everything. I saw this like she wrote a screenplay and hired the best of the best to take on this project.

I was just saying to some friends that I can't stand books where you can hear things in the background. I was talking about what I call "pew pew pew" books. You feel like you are in battle and need therapy after for PTSD. THIS on the other hand was like I was there with them. A vacation they were on was like I was with them from the comfort of my own bed where I usually listen to my books. Nothing was distracting with all the extra sounds in the background and I could picture everything happening in the story without having a narrator say anything like, "a guy walked into my bar the other day.." This was a really great listen and I would love to see/hear more of this from Ms Blakely in the future!

Hilarious

OMG This book is interactively (hmmmmm....not a word) hilarious. This should be a short film I could get addicted to these real quick.

Great short romantic listen

Frothy, cute, and well-performed. The lead breaks out of her comfort zone, and Blakely breaks out of her own comfort zone by having a story that isn't set in straight, white New York City.

Cute and fun

Very enjoyable and a quick listen. I wasn’t sure how I would like all the sound effects but it actually made it more fun to listen too. Great listen if you’re in between books like me and needed a bit of a palate cleanser.

Quick listen

This was a short story about a vacation fling. I loved hearing all the different voices of the characters. It made it seem more like a play than a regular audio book. Also you can never go wrong with a Lauren Blakely book.
