Publisher's Summary

Down and out with an injury, Assassins defenseman Jordie Thomas has been forced away from the sport that runs through his veins. With his life crashing down around him, he's given an ultimatum. Ready or not, Jordie is forced to face his past, the fears that consume him, and the one woman he let walk away.

Kacey King had her professional dreams come true, yet her heart was battered and broken. With an Olympic gold medal around her neck, she's ready to look forward to the future but without the one man she wanted in it. In the game of life, there are winners and losers, and neither Jordie nor Kacey wants to be on the losing bench. With emotions running high and the game on the line, can two proud people find happiness with each other, or will their hearts and souls be left in the cold?

simply can't take any more whiney heroines

With each book, the women have gotten more stupid and whiney. I simply cannot take another, so won't be finishing the series. Even though this series is included in the Audible Romance pkg, I would resent losing the time if I read more. .

Ignore all bad reviews! Book 7 Overtime is 5 stars.

I don't know why this book would ever get A bad review. Those persons must have never gone through a person in their lives with an addiction and or some form of abuse. Not many have. Toni what an amazing job you did on writing this and telling a very touching and believable story and journey through recovery with a sympathetic pen. A fabulous addition to the series. Narration was done with great voice tone. Enjoyable to listen and experience a touching story. 5 stars all the way ... Best in series.

Jordie's struggle and second chance with Kasey.

Recommendation: Read Clipped by Love (Bellevue Bullies #2) prior to reading this book.

I really appreciated the struggles Jordie goes through in this book. It is wonderful to see him realize he has a problem and try to better himself. I can understand Kasey's hurt at not being allowed to help him from the beginning, but I'm glad she realized that all that mattered was the here and now. It was wonderful to see the two find their HEA (with no cliffhanger).

I found that the series is very much overlapping with the Bellevue Bullies series at this point. It actually started overlapping in Breaking Away, where we were introduced to Claire. If you want the whole story in sequence, the book to read after this is actually book 3 in the Bellevue Bullies series, Hooked by Love, not the next book in the Assassins series, Rushing the Goal.

Classless

Characters were all insecure and not able to communicate with each other. It was like watch the Jerry Springer show. I was not able to finish this book.

Heroine is ridiculous

I cannot stand how much Kacey whined and refused to listen to anyone in this book. She made every single thing about her and refused to hear the truth. It's a VERY frustrating book

Good Listen

The previous 2 books had me ready to stop listening to this series. I decided to give it one more try. This was surprisingly good. I may try an other one.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My favorite of the series. It was relatable with so many people that have loved ones in their life fighting daily with addiction.
