Publisher's Summary

#1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Nora Roberts enchants again with this beloved classic about the passionate and headstrong MacGregor family.

Grant Campbell was a loner - rude and impossible! Yet as soon as he opened the lighthouse door to Genevieve Grandeau on that stormy night, she was lost. Underneath his gruff, handsome exterior, he was intelligent, sensitive...and slightly scarred. To Gennie, loving meant sharing, trusting. But Grant was hiding in the shadow of the past, afraid to move beyond it. She'd have to convince him that their love was a beacon for the future - but how?

Not the best Roberts book...

The book was too slow in areas and then rushed on others... It was okay but a big disappointment considering the author!

I caught myself fast-forwarding through the love scenes and wanting more from the rest!

the MacGregors Series

Another wonderful one. But so far it's our heroine that's proposing marriage. I'm hoping the next one to be our hero, at least one of them in this series.

Recommended

Grant Campbell is a bad tempered loner, a grouch. In a way he is refreshing. He doesn't care who it is, friend, family or stranger he just wants to be left alone. Except maybe the Macgregors. He seemed more amiable to them. Watching Jenny give Grant whatfore is a delight.

Anticipation ⌛

Now that I have "Audible", I'm able to listen to your stories on my way to & from work (graveyard shift: 12am - 8am). I start my "day" anticipating my ride to work. Then, spend my time at work anticipating my ride home. When I've finished a story before my next purchase, I replay one of the other books. At the end of each book, I'm on pins and needles till the next month & the next book. Thank you, also, to the narrators. All of them have a blessed way of conveying the words from 2D to 4D. (from words on a page to a film in my mind!) loving them all!!!

continuing look at the McGregor family.

I loved getting to learn all about the McGregor and his clan. Nora Roberts does a great job of making them larger than life.
