A bit too depressing for me

I started out enjoying this book because the main character seemed smart and witty. I'm a sucker for smart, likeable characters. Now I love a good mystery book and I don't mind a little grit here and there, but - spoiler coming - I don't like reading in detail about brutal assaults and if you don't either, this may not be a good book for you. I got through it but that was followed by so many other sad events, it truly started being a bummer to finish listening to. The writing was good, it just was a bit much for me.

Wow! There’s more than just one last secret!

This book should be turned into a movie. It twists and turns and takes you to places you never thought it would. Just when you think you know what’s going on, you turn the page and it goes in a complete other direction. This book kept me hooked. Now I’m off to find some more books by Adele Parks!

Couldn’t Stop Listening!

This story is incredible! It keeps you guessing until the jaw dropping epilogue. Park’s imagery, pace, and storytelling are top notch entertainment. She doesn’t leave questions unanswered and I was very satisfied with how well played plot. The narrator has impeccable acting and voice transitions. You won’t regret this listen!
