Just like the first book, Claire Kingsley, wrote, this book fulfills my former young girl's .

I enjoy small town rom-coms. And Claire Kingsley is a pro at creating characters that are lively, relatable, and likable/loveable.

I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

Fun, quick listen

One Crazy Week was a fun feel good romance that sure brought the heat. Jackson is the playboy billionaire who has a chance meeting with Melissa the small town teacher at a bar and then whisked her away for a one week of steamy fun. I loved seeing their fling turned in a whirlwind romance the more time they spent together. I loved Melissa’s feistiness and the way she challenged Jackson. This book was fun and low on angst and perfect sweet quick listen.

CJ Bloom and Scott Rose narrate this book in dual narration and I loved both of the performances. CJ was perfect for showcasing sweet and fun personality. Scott is new to me and did great at bringing Jackson’s character to life.

Heartwarming and swoony love

I loved this opposites attract, summer fling, fish out of water romance. It was a wonderful mix of sweet, spicy, angst, and real life issues. Jackson is a millionaire businessman who lives in Seattle. Melissa is a 5th grade teacher in small town Jetty Beach. A chance encounter in a Jetty Beach bar followed by a few weeks of texting result in one crazy no strings week at a lavish beach house. Of course when feelings get involved there will be strings. All the strings. To get to their HEA, there will need to be leaps of faith, baggage unpacking, life changes, and dealing with hard things. The story was well written and included engaging dialogue, characters with dimension who grow and a captivating storyline. I’ll definitely be reading more of this swoony and heartwarming series.

Samantha Brentmoor and Jacob Morgan did a phenomenal job narrating the story and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly. Narration makes an awesome book even better.

Melissa and Jackson

Good narrators.

Melissa is best friends with Nicole (from Behind His Eyes). She has lived in Jetty Beach all her life, except for college. She's a single 5th grade teacher. She's a strong, independent woman.

When she first meets Jackson Bennett, she has no idea who he is or what his net worth is. She just knows that he needs to be schooled in how to best drink fine bourbon.

Jackson is immediately taken with this woman. He's not used to hearing the word no, but he finds it just makes her more desirable. He's also not used to having real feelings, since he's spent his entire adult life not having them.

When he gets a second chance with Melissa, he offers her a one week vacation, effective immediately. No strings. What they find in that time is that they actually have some commonalities. She's a little overwhelmed by his money and determined not to let that be one of the things that binds them, even if she does enjoy being spoiled a little.

They both fall a little in love but she refuses to even consider it, since he's a billionaire playboy and she's just plain old Melissa. Jackson wouldn't recognize the feeling if it bit him in the a$$ (which it kind of does). When she breaks it off with him because she can't handle the notoriety and believes they have an expiration date anyway, he's lost without her.
