""Mind-bending, heart wrenching, and unputdownable!” Stephanie Garber, New York Times bestselling author of the Caraval series, on Only a Monster

The final book in the lauded Only a Monster trilogy is here—where the unstoppable love and high stakes of Divine Rivals meets the propulsive thrills of This Savage Song in a last-ditch, breathless race against time.

Joan has failed to stop Eleanor.

Now Eleanor rules over a cruel new timeline where monsters live openly among humans, preying on them and subjugating them.

Nick—once a hero to humans, and Joan’s first love—is tormented by the choice he made to save her over the timeline itself. And Aaron—the ruthless heir to a powerful monster family—now finds himself in a world where monsters have power beyond imagining while his feelings for Joan grow.

Wrenched between love and rivalry, the three of them must negotiate their fractured pasts to survive the new world and restore what was lost. Because only they remember that there was once a better timeline.

But how will they defeat a whole world of monsters with control over time itself?

So. I adored the first two books. It was an interesting take on time traveling and the way the human and monster world operated. I loved the tension and the twists. But OaV felt like it didn't want to make the decision to take Nick out and keep him gone. I'm not in the camp of the fandom that wanted Nick to remain gone after OaM but the entire point was creating this insurmountable rift between Nick and Joan that flowed into the pushing Joan to Aaron. But to me I felt the air taken out when Nick survived. I also didnt find the throuple believable. The Nick and Aaron of the Book 2 timeline were not the kind to just bury everything because of the glimpses of the OG timeline. But overall I enjoyed it. But it was a rough landing. If she made a 4th book and could have fleshed some stuff out more I feel it would have been better for it. But it'll be a while before I relisten to the series. Solid ending but an incredibly rough was to land the plane

An incredibly rough way to land the third book

I loved every single second of this! This series loved to break my heart and put it back together again! Filled with love and the lengths we will go for those we care about most. Perfection!

Perfect Conclusion to the Series!

One of the best trilogies I have EVER had the pleasure of reading. The narrator did a spectacular job and this is the first time an ACTUAL love triangle has been done so well in all the books I’ve read. Time travel and monsters done with such care and satisfaction. I loved following Nick, Joann, and Aarons story much. 10/10 with a happy ending worth the wait.

A masterpiece

This was a very disappointing ending. It was a wonderful story and I was so excited for this book but then you had two men kissing in a teen book. There should have been a disclaimer on this title!

Why did you have to bring in M/F/M into a teenage book?

What just happened? I loved the first 2 books and this one doesn’t even feel like the same series. A throuple? Really? Just choose one. Or how about a warning for people that don’t like that trope. So disappointing. I’m just going to pretend she picked Aaron.

A throuple? Immediately NO
